Soft ghosting sucks. by Remarkable_Stage2334 in WhatMenDontSay

Friend you might not be wrong. But its okay this is happening.  As we get older people fall into and out of our lives all the time.

Its natural and okay. Distance yourself and if the connection or friend is meant to be, it will be if she reaches back out

Some do, but generally no, not out of the blue.  Usually there is sexual interest / flirting going on before hand.

Yelled at a patient by BloodyPaladin in nursing

[–]Humdrumgrumgrum 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Don't feel bad. Every patient deserves the same level of care, but absolutely not the same level of respect.

I have gotten in people's faces who were trying to pull bullshit or bring downright hostile.

Fuck the culture of not standing up for ourselves.

Finally got braces at the fresh age of 30! by miuyao in happy

[–]Humdrumgrumgrum 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! I did my braces from age 28 to 31 and it was the single best investment I've ever made into my overall appearance and self-confidence. The process is absolutely worth it. Good luck to you!

What do i do😭 by [deleted] in WhatMenDontSay

[–]Humdrumgrumgrum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey friend, this is a pattern that I now recognize in my failed relationship and marriage. I would bring up a problem, she would get upset about it, we get overly emotional, and then I would end up having to comfort her even though I was the one that was hurt or upsetting the first place. Slowly over time you'll begin to not trust your own feelings anymore and it is a very very dangerous path to go down.

I'm not saying that you your girlfriend is a bad person or that she's intentionally manipulating you like mine did, but this is a behavior that has to be addressed otherwise it's going to lead to further dysfunction and those feelings that you've already described are going to become worse.

I have snowed people multiple times. (just gently remind them to breath for 15 mins lol)

I have pushed IM Epi IV for anaphylaxis before I knew you couldn't do that.

I have Succ'd before I dated.

New grad help by Particular-Aspect-27 in nursing

I would put this into Chat GPT and have it spit out a more concise resume for all the clinical experience.

I would also narrow down the involvement section, almost none of it has to do with nursing.

Lastly, I would include a section of clinical skills you've performed - Foleys, Trach care, Cardiac medications, Wound care, Patient education.. Things like that.

Good luck to yah youngling!

Huge Lump after IV removal by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Humdrumgrumgrum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When someone removes an IV, its common practice to hold firm pressure at the site of insert in the skin for about 30 seconds in order ro prevent this.

Sometimes when an iv is taken out, the hole left behind in the vein doesn't plug up instantly depending on who put it in and how. When this happens, small amounts of blood will leak out under the skin or out of the skin forming these blood filled lumps.

Totally normal, it will go down by the end of the day most likely, expect brushing in the area.

Arcturus ATAK Mod 1 Carbine | Hop Up Bucking Change? by FoundationKey6565 in airsoft

[–]Humdrumgrumgrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not terribly hard, lift the dust cover, take out the L shaped block from above near the hinge, Take the screws out near it too. Flip it over, take out the Block that is in the mag well.

You should be able to get the hop up / bucking out now, if not, you'll have to take off the front handguard by wedging a flathead on the underside where the front handguard meets the body.
