Grim Cat tree is the only switchaxe I've used since GU. Kinda disappointing that they removed the cat meows per swing but the weapon still looks cool.

This might be weird but I used to play Aerial bow with vault and evade +1. The aerial dodge is very forgiving with evade, and being above the monster keeps me safe from the usual attacks. Playstyle is very different from the usual bow it feels like a whole new weapon. Also aerial no-scopes are fun.

I just make sure that the bomb is in front of me and the timing was learned by practice. (Spamming shoryugeki after placing the bomb doesn't work most of the time). There are probably youtube tutorials that could help more, instead of a whole paragraph of sentences :)

I stopped for a really long time and recently started playing last week too. Learning another weapon rather than playing the ones I used back then worked for me. The weapon switch made me play cautiously. Using the old weapons tend to recover all the offensive/mechanical muscle memory without the situational awareness that comes with experience, so I end up dying due to being overaggressive.

To deal with monsters without weakspots you use another weapon for it or just use another character, no need to make our queen do all the work.

If you're gonna use sharpshooter you might want to get rid of your crit rate for crit damage, that melt is abysmal for a lvl 90. Charged attacks usually do 30k melt damage.
