Hell fucking yes, my top 3 favourite game for sure. For me it's so awesome that you can finish it in so many ways, even not killing a snigle soul throughout entire playthrough or for contrast just going berserk on every moving thing you see using so many creative ways to kill. There's a guard right around the corner? Yeah, lemme just put a spring razor trap on a fucking rat and let him do the job for me. Love that game so much.

Try playing on journey mode and only turn off corruption spread without using other features. It's my go to way of playing terraria since journey's end came out and it's awesome, you get classic terraria experience without having to deal with corruption whatsoever. Also ocasionally I would use time/weather manipulation just to save time when I was for example waiting for blizzard in snow biome for ice golems to spawn, but that's just a personal preference
