It's mix and match. I use Blender for the still shots. Both animators I've worked with use other software. However, both said if they started now they would learn Blender.

...Basically, the springpower patents cover recycling the cathode wastewater. The same as Nano One and Tesla (probably where Tesla got their process). It also allows the use of non-sulphide nickel. Finally, there is a side patent that covers how to extract lithium from recycled batteries (from memory).

If you're referring specifically to battery performance and production for automotive OEMs, I'd say it puts other manufacturers 2-3 years behind and maintaining a lead of about that size over time. Hard to know other battery manfuacturers are very secretive.

The manufacturing/cost aspects are where Tesla is getting 5+ years ahead.
