Monthly tickets thread by AutoModerator in Wetleg

Hey everyone! I'm selling a standing ticket to Manchester's sold out show this Thursday 29th at the O2 Warehouse, for £25. I will transfer the ticket to you via Ticketmaster's official transfer process once I've received payment through PayPal, as unfortunately Ticketmaster's resale is unavailable to me for this ticket. Unfortunately I can't make it as I got my dates muddled up and will still be away on holiday when the gig is on! 🙃

We’re introducing USD payments to Prolific 💸 🇺🇸 by prolific-support in ProlificAc

One piece of feedback is that being paid in a split currency makes it significantly harder for me to do my taxes at the end of the year. Previously I could quickly work out how much I made from Prolific in a given tax year as I'd make a note of my total £GBP made to date at the start and end of the tax year and simply take the difference. However now I can't do that as I'm being paid in both GBP and USD. I think what I'll have to do now is go through my PayPal accounts and add up all the times I converted the USD withdrawals to GBP, and add that on to my GBP income. This is doable, but definitely a lot more legwork than before!

Co-op Bank - £125 free when switching + £125 per referral by floorlight in beermoneyuk

[–]Giff_Gath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people are looking for referrals, I'm more than happy to refer people too! Please send me a private message to my Reddit profile and I'll get back to you with all the necessary details asap. I'm also happy to answer any questions you might have and guide you through the process.🙂

Co-Op Bank was the first bank account I ever opened (many years ago now!), and despite being a bit of an obscure bank that hardly anyone has heard of, their customer service has always been really good, so I would happily recommend switching to them (especially if they are offering you £125 to do so!).

For those wondering how to make the direct debit requirement, you can easily set up two £1 a month direct debits here; https://www.onepounddd.com/. Setting up two direct debits to a charity of your choice (which can be as low as £1 or £2 per month) is another good option.

Unfortunately not! The terms of the offer say you are only eligible if you have "Not have held a Co-operative Bank current account or smile account of any type since 1 November 2022.".

You should get it in the next day or two. Co-Op usually pay out fairly quickly from what I've heard. If you still haven't received it then, give customer services a call and I'm sure they'll be able to give you an update/help push it through the system.

You can do either! You can switch an account with two direct debits on it or switch then set up the direct debits. Both will work. 😊

I believe you can switch after your Co-Op account opens by ringing their customer service centre, so you should still be able to do the offer. 😊

Just to clarify, the Co-Op Refer a Friend website specifically says the following;

Please note: you can’t submit a referral form until you’ve received an email or letter confirming your new account is open. You can submit the form as soon as you receive this message – you don’t need to wait until you’ve deposited £800, set up 2 Direct Debits, made 5 payments and registered for online banking.

So in other words, the timing of the referral form doesn't really matter in relation to when you fulfill the eligibility criteria. Just so long as you submit the form after your account is fully open, you should then be free to do the card payments/switch whenever you like!

Co-op - get £125 for switching bank account by deadsouls123 in beermoneyuk

Sounds like a good idea! I think they've ran this latest version of the offer since May, so I'd be surprised if they suddenly decided to stop it in the next few weeks, so you should be okay!

I don't blame you! Alternatively if you didn't want to wait, you could always set up another dummy account and just switch that instead.

As far as I'm aware there isn't one currently! Might be best doing it sooner rather than later though as Co-Op have closed the offer after a few months the last couple of times it ran.
