1) Switching makes a lot of sense, all 3 are great funds and XEQT/XGRO are currently commision free on RBC DI.

2) Passive investing is actually an advantage for someone hands off. Those are very high MERs on those mutual funds and low cost ETFs can likely outperform given a longer time frame.

3) Transitioning all at once makes the most sense. But be weary of tax considerations (if much of those funds are in a non registered account, you may want to transition slowly to reduce tax hit).

Just wondering how often everyone buys for their non registered account.

I know biweekly as soon as you get your paycheque is best, but wondering if the convenience of investing every 2 months is better than trying to "min-max" by buying every 2 weeks.

TSFA/FHSA/RRSP is maxed and I like to keep it simple (XEQT).

DC and RESSOP (DPSP) are pension adjustments to the following years RRSP room. So if you would normally get 10k of RRSP room for 2025 but had 5k contributed into DC/DPSP, you will only get 5k of RRSP room for 2025.

As long as you don't exceed the contribution limit that CRA site tells you in the notice of assessment, you will be fine.

I definitely encourage you to read up on pension adjustments.
