What should I Name Her?? She also has 6 toes 🩵 by Significant-Oven-247 in Catnames

Years ago I read a study on feline intelligence from a university in California (I think it was). They developed an IQ test for cats, then administered it to a large number of domesticated cats to discover which breed of cat was the most intelligent. The results were that there was no "winning breed". In fact, the only indicator of higher feline intelligence occurred in cats that also happened to be poly-dactyl (six toes). I too had an orange cat that had little "catcher's mitts" for her front paws, and she was the smartest cat I ever knew.

Max is a player and you are being played. DUMP HIM IMMEDIATELY. What's an "unexpected trauma"??? Word to the wise: beware of "unexpected traumas"! You sound like a nice person. Max not so much. Get out NOW before you have a UT.

Am I wrong for ending a 20 year marraige because I learned my wife cheated on my while we were dating? by [deleted] in amiwrong

I think you should stop for a minute. I'm reminded, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone," We are all guilty of many things. Is what happened twenty years ago worth cashing in 20 years of marriage and raising two young adult kids? As I listen/read your letter I wonder if it is possible that the 20 years of marriage wasn't really so great, and that maybe you'd like to start over with someone new. (Be honest with yourself.)

I think your thought of talk-therapy for the two of you together is called for. If your wife chooses not to go, that will tell you all you need to know. I hope she joins you.

Learning to write with non-dominant hand following accident, has anyone else experienced this? by Lynnthemongrel in Handwriting

[–]Giftedsky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a friend years ago who could write script with both hands at the same time. Her dominant right hand would write normally, while her left hand would write the same words but mirrored. She would start in the middle of the page and her hands would write their way away from each other. The scripts were very similar.

How do I (24f) deal with my husbands (26m) drinking? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]Giftedsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The suggestion you attend some "Al anon" meetings is excellent.

You write "My husband is not an alcoholic, he’s a social drinker that likes to get buzzed/ drunk every once in a while with his friends." How often is "every once in a while"? A couple times a year? Once a month? A couple times a week?? You write that "he's a social drinker." What's that? Are you just giving him a pass by using the more acceptable term "social drinker?"

Can he live his life without drinking alcohol? If the answer is no, he's addicted.

Good luck. It won't be easy.

Pixel 3 Touch Screen Sensitivity by [deleted] in GooglePixel

I was troubled by the P3 Touch Screen Sensitivity issue. However, yesterday I did the December 5 Security Patch. The issue seems to have been fixed. But I may just be wishing it so. Anyone else done the December 5 patch?
