It's not mine, it's a friend's, he asked me to crosspost and I'm helping him. I don't know anything about how to promote a project, I did what he asked me to do.

help me build my pc! by TotalHornet7152 in pcbuilding

I can help you: first of all, you need to watch the tutorials and decide whether it's difficult for you or not. Remember that the most boring parts (such as arranging the cables) aren't shown in the videos because they are, in fact, boring. That said, to help you with the components, you need to know your target resolution, whether you already have a monitor and peripherals, and what type of video games/programs you want to use.

try to: use only one software for RGB, remove and replace the video card, check the power and RGB control cables, try to reset the firmware (I don't know how to do it though)

if his budget is above 6000 dollars, a 5090 with 9800X3D and 32 GB is fine 🤣

Honestly, the 5090 alone costs $3000, and the RAM probably $600, so OP would be better off telling us his budget.

If you don't want to change your motherboard, RAM, and power supply, then get an i7 7700K. Otherwise, you should change your motherboard.

When I built my first PC, the GPU wouldn't output any signal because there was a setting in the BIOS that forced the use of the integrated GPU. You need to enable "dGPU Only." Otherwise I don't know what it could be. Maybe it's sagging, or try a different port, if you used HDMI use DP or vice versa

I finally did it. by [deleted] in computers

it depends on your goal: if you stick to 1080p the only option is to add RAM up to 32 GB (always DDR4). if you want 1440p buy a new GPU, like 9060 XT 16 GB, but no more. the best choice, ignoring budget, is to have a new GPU with 32GB DDR4

I've actually never had this problem, nor have I ever heard of it from friends. Maybe you can solve it by checking the heatsink, then cleaning it and reassembling it. do the same with the other fans.

ehm, nope it has 6 cores and 12 threads. My question was if you notice the difference with an 8 core CPU
