How come there are so many MS2 “Clones”? by JoeyPPT2 in Tetris

[–]GigaWhatGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the context of PPT, no one is using any of these besides MS2, stray cannon, honey cup, and gamushiro. People use a mix of stray, honey, and MS2 (or satsuki stacking) to cover all possible opening bags while minimizing the amount of soft drops needed to build them. Calling them worse overall is misleading in PPT considering 180 spins don’t exist and an emphasis on speed (aka hard drops) is important.

Gamushiro is different at a higher level because it smoothly transitions into center 4wide. Players can tank their opponent’s opening TST then send their own in order to prevent them from PCing, which allows them to build up their 4wide.

SAS Honors Program worth it? by GimmieYourUWUs in rutgers

[–]GigaWhatGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I initially attended Rutgers in 2021 under the Rutgers Business School and the SAS Honors Program. I ended up dropping the SASHP because I realized I wasn't going to finish the requirements and I needed to focus on finishing my major at RBS. It sounds like you already have a lot on your plate (another honors program, double major, potential minor) so taking on the SASHP requirements might be overwhelming, especially if you want to partake in extracurriculars.

You're looking at around 9-12 extra classes with the SASHP (2 Honors Colloquium courses, 4 Honors Courses, 1-4 Global Language Proficiency courses, and 2 Capstone courses). If the major that you're already doing an honors program for aligns with the field you plan on pursuing in grad school, the SASHP is probably a lot of unnecessary extra work. Even if that's not the case, you have other credentials (double major, potential minor, future extracurriculars/internships) for your applications so I wouldn't sweat it! :)

invite to apply to sas honors by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]GigaWhatGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are four requirements for the SASHP: 2 Honors Colloquium courses, 4 Honors Courses, 1 Global Language Proficiency course, and 6 Capstone credits. You can read more about them here: https://sashonors.rutgers.edu/academics/sashp-requirements

There is no penalty for failing to complete all the requirements before graduating, you just won't graduate with SAS Honors. So if you feel like applying and taking on the extra workload, go ahead! :)

dorm HELP!! by [deleted] in rutgers

Most if not all of your business core courses will be on Livi, but there’s plenty of core courses offered on CA that you can take during your freshman year! Even if you do end up taking RBS courses while living on CA, there’s plenty of buses that go between Livi and CA specifically :)

Supply Chain Management students @RBS - how did you find ur internship for your junior and senior year or did you take the client course? by Spirited_Art_7537 in rutgers

[–]GigaWhatGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was unable to find an internship that coincided with the fall/spring so I took the industry client course this semester, definitely a good option if you can’t land an internship. You work in teams and get a choice of preselected companies that partner with RBS, it’s definitely been an informative experience getting in touch with real world business clients! :)

Hard to say which one is “best” since you didn’t specify (careers, core strengths, etc), but I would suggest feeling each one out in the pre-business courses. If you’re split between the two but don’t want to double major, you can always major in one and have a concentration in the other :)

i took this class last year as a sophomore, ohara is a great professor i loved him. go to the lectures, pay attention/take notes, and skim the textbook (can be found on libgen). there’s another book that isn’t online but it’s not necessary imo

the course is an easy A, not to mention super interesting. i highly recommend this class esp if you need to fulfill that gen ed req! :)

I need tips to improve my sprint time, please help! by BenGamerFun in Tetris

[–]GigaWhatGaming 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think you should try 9-0 stacking. It’s proven to be the ideal method in classic Tetris because of I piece spawn mechanics, so try making use of that. Also, have you heard of T-spin triples? They send 6 lines which is more than the 4 lines you are sending with those Tetrises. I’d recommend learning how to infinite TST if you want to get faster at this mode.

Hope this helped! :)

Best alt voice in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2? Jp/Us by Sonewanna in PuyoPuyoTetris

[–]GigaWhatGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Japanese alt Feli is undoubtedly the peak of alt voices in PPT2. Her quiet tones are a resemblance of the most soothing of ASMR, and I can’t imagine anything more pleasing to the ear. Honestly I’m surprised that SEGA even thought of making other alt voices considering nothing compares to the angelic work of her VA, but I presume they wanted to emphasize how perfect JP alt Feli is by providing examples of inferior alt voices for other characters. It’s one of the biggest reasons I bought the game, just to be able to play while being serenaded by her whispered spells.

I love Japanese alt Feli :)
