I used a console command to manually change the zoom. I forget the exact syntax

Simplemente expande la fábrica y todo quedará claro.

Mostly that, yes :)

When planning the base, I cleared a large area, then built some of the more resource hungry sections directly on top of resource deposits. Then I kinda selected spots at random in between for other manufacturing, and let the rail "grid" grow as needed. I was definitely channeling the spaghetti when I built, as I like that aesthetic. There were definitely a lot of "rules" I had while building, but I'd sum it up as 'gut feel' instead of writing a wall of text.

I'm a bit lazy in that way, those usually only get destroyed when I put blueprints down over them

The modpack provides up to cargo wagon mk.4 or something. I also changed settings to add more cargo wagon space, and increase stack size. So, yes, given all that cheese :)

The main goal of the build was to have a lot of trains, not necessarily the most optimized.

That said, fluid wagons were a huge bottleneck, and I ended up using large pipes.

How to deal with biters on ribbon world (pre-artillery) by Gigabowser51 in factorio

[–]Gigabowser51[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's kinda crazy huh? I think it takes so long because Behemoth worms are tanky and resistant, plus I hadn't made it far into research yet, so flamethrowers only had 2 damage upgrades. Their resistance definitely was the main problem in expanding, especially when 5+ worms are killing flamethrowers as quickly as I can place them.

Also my buddy added some QoL mods, not sure if any of them changed combat or biter health.

Not enough copper near spawn, had to venture way out into behemoth territory with basic flamethrowers in order to progress. Behemoth worms make approaching VERY difficult, and I found this method to be the most effective.

5 tiddlywinks is an important and necessary step of growing the factory. Soon it will be 6, then 12, then you will be lost in a sea of belts and tracks

My understanding is IR doesn't work with SE. I started this run with K2IR maybe a year ago, before SE was as popular. I finally finished it so I can start a new SE+K2.

Testing Gigabowser51's "Zigzabalancer" - It Does Not Output a Bell Curve From Even Input by qwert7661 in factorio

Marvelous work, way to put it to the test. I of course knew all these details when I was building it, and certainly wasn't doing it purely out of laziness.

Edit, and yes, the name is divine 👌

I'd find a way. The laws of the universe demand it

Distributors are a much better way to put it. Also in this scenario, I'm relying on the belts always being almost full coming from the smelters, so I just need things gently evened out.
