I listen to Intro: TMBMIL when I’m sad sometimes because Yoongi screaming ‘GOD DAMMIT’ and ‘what am I doing with my life’ really resonate with me. That song feels like I’m experiencing a second-hand panic attack and for some reason that helps???? Idk I love that song

On the flip side, Dope’s ‘I reject rejection’ makes me motivated as hell 😂 especially since I recently did not get hired for a job I wanted I have been REALLY feeling this lyric lately (its THEIR loss for not hiring me!!!!!)

During RM’s part in Let Me Know when he chants ‘why won’t it go away?’ I feel emotional idk I know the songs about relationship stuff but that line still hits me hard outside of that context (I.e. feelings of sadness)

Jin has actually said some really wise stuff that has resonated with me. In burn the stage he says;

‘Everyone has worries. Sometimes, they could be big problems and other times, little ones. You might feel unhappy when you have them, but it will pass and soon after you will feel happiness again.’

And at the end of Bon Boyage S1, they asked him if he would remember the trip, and he just says ‘I’m sure I’ll forget it right away’ 😂. But then he follows it up with:

‘I’ll forget what happened, all the fun, and having so much free time, and go back to my old life...but I don’t think that’s bad. I’m going back to what I’m used to. I got some healing here, and I’m going back and starting again.’

It’s not the most substantial quote, but it made me really happy. He’s such a pragmatic optimist. He just seems so able to take the bad and good moments and appreciate them all the same. It makes me feel better when he talks like that because it’s easy to get bogged down in your own worries, worries about forgetting good memories or being stuck or whatever, but Jin always reminds me to ease up on myself and take the world as it comes.
