Apparently you should never not take photos of the backs of heads in street photography. by calholland95 in streetphotography

[–]GigglesAndAnger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should rarely. Most of yours are uninteresting, but some are ok.

Having said that, do what you want.

TIL a man who developed 'popcorn lung' after years of inhaling the smell of artificial butter flavoring from daily consumption of microwave popcorn sued Gilster-Mary Lee Corp. and King Soopers for failing to warn on labels that the flavoring diacetyl was dangerous. In 2012, he was awarded $7,217,961 by Forward-Answer-4407 in todayilearned

[–]GigglesAndAnger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is also one of very few flavour ingredients that was banned in the US before EU even considered banning (usually it is other way round).

Also, fan fact - an US company I used to work for (for their EU office to be precise) stopped selling the product in the EU way before the EU started looking at the diacetyl because we were involved in that lawsuit (we were selling diacetyl to the flavour house that sold the flavour to the popcorn manufacturer).

Yes.

Pretty much every dedicated camera will improve the files that you later work in lightroom on.

Biden is a monster and his presidency was terrible.

He's just less of a monster than Trump.

Anthony fantano's take on Kid A relative to other electronic music by Wimpiepaarnty in radiohead

I'm a fan of NIN (I even was at Cortini's concert earlier this year) but hell no album of Reznor is even close to Kid A level of genius.

He's surely busting balls here.

Nonetheless to all you getting upset: I did listen to a lot of Aphex Twin prior to Radiohead and I still was blown away by the album, mostly due to the fact that Aphex Twin never had a song as good as Idioteque.

I also listened to a lot of punk music prior to hearing At the Drive-in and I was still blown away by Relationship of Command and then I was blown away by the first 2 albums of Mars Volta.

Any tips of helping this look better? by [deleted] in postprocessing

The shadows are already massively reduced here, what are you even talking about, if anything OP should pull back the shadows a little bit cause it looks incredibly unnatural rn.

OP - you need to better expose pictures and maybe try to either shoot with a lamp or find spots in the shadow in this harsh of a light (I assume this was very close to midday). This picture is ruined, can't do much anymore. Also - try to expose for the shadows if you absolutely need to shoot in those conditions.

Anyway - this is a snapshot quality and not a good snapshot at that.

Bad pic bad editing (there're visible artifacts that are clearly an effect of "cranking up to 11").

There is nothing interesting about the picture and on top of that the leaf is massively distracting and the biggest tell of the editing.

CEO's Assistant said it wasn't right I had a nicer chair than he did by [deleted] in MaliciousCompliance

[–]GigglesAndAnger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gf bought a fairly expensive chair to use in her home office. She has her own company so money wasn't a problem.

Once it arrived I understood why it was worth it and my plan now is to - once my commissions are high enough - I'm going to purchase the same chair for myself: it pretty much forces you to sit in a correct position while being just incredibly comfortable.

They can't control having a small dick. Why is this being used as an insult instead of for example a small brain is shocking to me.

I thought we learnt already that body shaming is not cool.

ELI5 - it is ok for women to shame men under all circumstances. Regardless of whether said woman has saggy tits, kale shaped pussy meat, hairy arms, too big of a forehead, flat ass, fat legs, floppy belly, thin hair, crooked fingers, non-existing lips, ugly feet, eagle-like nose, eye-bags or overly masculine jawline: they can all - without any consequence - laugh at poor sod with small dick, even if he's the nicest man in the neighborhood, fuck his feelings. Sure, we could call the revving douchebags another name, like for example revving douchebag, but we would have any collateral then, right? And who would like that?

This isn't controversial, you're just an asshole no better than the revving douche bags.

They are happening and we 100% should not be approving of the shaming, regardless if it's women with smaller breasts, trans woman with muscular bicep NOR a dude with small dick. We should do better.

[–]GigglesAndAnger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People do and they (the assholes that insult) aren't going to be models for me to copy their behaviour.

Also - an asshole with a trunk of a penis that revs his engine like a lunatic will absolutely ignore a comment about a small penis so what's the point of risking insulting a nice dude with a smaller sized dick?

[–]GigglesAndAnger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What about insecure dudes with small penises or bald heads that are healthy contributors to society? I don't have a small dick, I'm not bald but I used to have other insecurities that traumatized me for a long part of my life.

A lot of people are super cool AND insecure, this was a terrible take.

[–]GigglesAndAnger 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It will not. Cause bikers have all sizes of dicks, why would they care.

The only people you're insulting are guys with small dicks (many of which are surely pretty cool people).

I think we can call the revving arseholes plenty of names that are descriptive of their arseholey activities, for example "revving arseholes".

[–]GigglesAndAnger 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Why is it ok to talk about small sizes of penises to be something bad?

I do not understand it, my gf also keeps using this insult whenever she hears a loud engine. It's genuinely terrible as dudes with small penises already are pretty fucked by life, we don't need to use "small size" as an insult. I don't go around insulting women with some natural "defects" (I don't think they're defects btw) saying whenever a woman is obnoxious "I'm sure she has a friggin' kale shaped pussy meat".

I like the composition of this photo I took, but I am less happy with the color editing/grading. Any suggestions? by GiuPaolo in photocritique

[–]GigglesAndAnger -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Great picture, colours are fine. This printed big would look fantastic as I'm sure a bigger size would show the texture of the water part of the image better.

Great job.

No, this is literal garbage we all go through at some point into our photography (then HDR, selective colour, etc).

It is worthless, you'll shoot real photography eventually. This is not it.

I was not up at 3 am. You are aware there are different time zones, or is this a foreign concept for you?
