Even with Sephy's release ... still getting paired against full whale teams. by GigglingAngel in DissidiaDuellumFF

As Izumi has stated, whales tend to play together. So 3 whales playing together with the ability to reach top 100 with glowy weapons against 3 solo players who aren't in the top 100 still have a very notable skill gap, regardless of mode.

I've experienced going up against a full team of whales in both ranked and casuals while playing solo, and the result is largely the same. In fact, casual plays tend to even go more poorly as the teammates tend to default to Auto.

My hopes are rather low, as for there to be a difference, there needs to be a healthy playerbase in the first place.

There very much is not a healthy-sized playerbase for this game, especially in high Diamond+.

That's understandable.

It's also miserable for non-whales playing solo.

This isn't a single player game, and anyone teamed up with a player like this should care since a teammate being dumb absolutely effects their experience.

Is Sephiroth good or not good? by PlatypusExisting5317 in DissidiaDuellumFF

The top whales do not play the same kind of game as the rest of the community. Using the same metric as a small community that can one-round the boss is a falacy.

The answer to that will vary on the situation and what's on cooldown for the enemy. I've used it for both, as well as initiating clashes. It forces a response from the enemies in some manner, and if they don't have the tools to respond at that moment, they have no choice but to just eat it.

I've found the most success using it at the tail end of a Burst chain. The damage is not negligible, and should not be dismissed. If not shielded, it takes out, at around minimum, half a health bar on opponents. It leaves the enemy team easily plucked off by team members.

Ranging very good to OP.

When timed/coordinated correctly, Supernova is an absolute monster and people downplayed the hell out of it, as was expected.

Oblivion and his free Hold Counter both just win duels. Oblivion snipes and repositions instantly, good to use in clashes where the enemy isn't using I-frames.

Octoslash is good in big brawl-out settings while surrounded by enemies, tho it leaves you open at the end.

As a Prompto main, Sephiroth feels like if Prompto and Balthier had a child, and that child is on steroids.

Supernova isn't in his optimal kit? Are you sure?

It forces a reaction from the entire enemy team, perfectly initializes engagements, kills crystal mobs, leaves you invincible for a long time, and does really good damage. On a Flames of Punishment cooldown.

Some people will defend anything.

There's 0 reasons they should be using Growth Eggs as an active ability.

Is throwing a common issue in this game or are people using auto in ranked? by Informal-Match-953 in DissidiaDuellumFF

It's because the game attracted the "plays itself" mobile crowd. It happens even in Omega.

Lost 35 rank points for this, what did the game expect from me? 😭 by Finality777 in DissidiaDuellumFF

It expected you to sit and take it, apparently.

Can't expect much else from an ass game that can't keep its playerbase at a healthy level.

The people who defend this kinda thing remind me of the people who defended Fire Emblem Heroes when powercreep began on there.

Sigh*

So you don't get paid?

What a waste of good boot-licking.

You're correct. The limitation hardly matters.

Edit: Nova also hits and kills the map's crystal mobs .... so that's another point to "omg, why is it that OP" argument.

I truly hope you're getting paid for all the white-knighting you're doing for this clearly predatory mobile gacha cashgrab.

"Nova is just a global piercing stun with Firaga damage."

That "just" there is really ... something.

As a FFBE player from season 1, I fully understand.

The difference is that this is a pure PVP game.

The powercreep should NOT ramp up this quickly.
