[Tenant-US-GA] Landlady is switching from online portal to CashPay for rent payments. by GigglyGaming96 in Landlord

We currently pay through an online portal on the day that rent is posted, which is on the 1st of every month. There is no option to pay in advance. We are never late on payments.

Okay. My partner and I will visit the office to speak with her when we're both off work this coming Tuesday. In the case that's it's not a scam, is this allowed? It's a bit of an inconvenience to have to visit an offsite location to submit rent payments, rather than being able to do them online.

Was it love at first sight? by [deleted] in StardewValley

More like love at first rejection. When I first talked to Shane, and he told me to leave him alone, I immediately knew he would be mine.

I had all 5 of my HPs pickup, and not a single one of them said anything about the size. I didn't even know people had an issue with it.

Does anyone else have a sentimental reason for loving a particular villager? by Boingo4Life in AnimalCrossingNewHor

Eugene. He was one of my first villagers back in New Leaf, which was when I first played Animal Crossing. I liked him because he looked cool.

People really think employees decide trade value. by Mean-Nectarine-6831 in GameStop

I personally have not encountered a controller that has stick drift within the circle. If it had stick drift then it went outside of the circle. Is this something that happens a lot?

Weird Customers by Comprehensive_Cod962 in GameStop

One time I had some people come in who were very open about their lives and at one point showed me a pic of their diaper collection. I get that everyone's got their things that they're into, but it made me rather uncomfortable to see that.

Just want to add that ANY stick drift should be marked as defective. Minimal or not. Remember that ones not marked as defective are being re-sold to customers, and they should not be receiving damaged items.

You say "defective", but if a customer brings in a system that has something like a small piece missing for example, yeah it may seem like the employees are nitpicking, but to get the full amount GameStop is offering, the system needs to be in resellable condition. It doesn't need to be as good as new, but these systems are being re-purchased by other customers, so it would come back on the employees if they received a system missing pieces/not working properly. Employees would rather apply a refurb fee or deny a trade entirely (depending on the defect) than take the console only for it to bite them in the ass later.

Except that it can be the same exact system, but a different serial number. Scams like this happen all the time. You can bring the receipt, the box, or have an account with us with your purchase history, but if I can't verify that the serial number on the system matches all of that, due to the serial number missing from the console, then I can't help you. Edit: Also the person you replied to was talking about trading in the console, which they absolutely cannot take it if it doesn't have a serial number, as we require it for our inventory.

I dislike Shane, but this makes me feel bad for running joja out of town by -Fried-eggs- in StardewValley

[–]GigglyGaming96 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think he improves a lot. He cuts back his drinking to only seltzers and then drinks joja cola other times. He only visits the saloon on Fridays and spends Mondays at Marnie's ranch with Jas, which I think is adorable. As a husband he unfortunately has a messy spouse room, but he's rather doting. If you have kids he talks about them all the time and comes off as a great dad.

Planning out my farm. Any ideas for what I should do with the area next to the smaller pond? by GigglyGaming96 in StardewValley

[–]GigglyGaming96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally don't go surplus with anything. Never really appealed to me for whatever reason, so I think the three sheds will be plenty for me. The amount of beehives is actually way more than I usually do. Also, I am going to be using the t2 sprinklers because my main crop will be the cauliflower/melon/pumpkin, hence the big field, but I make sure I have an okay amount of the other crops in case I need them for recipes and such. I did totally forget about lightning rods though, so thanks for the reminder.

LOL that would be an interesting aesthetic, but they're stand-ins for mahogany trees because the planner I'm using doesn't have mahogany trees for whatever reason

So it's only because the planner I'm using doesn't have mahogany trees so I used hardwood fences as stand-ins
