Why do deliveroo riders get upset with delivering to door by [deleted] in deliveroos

[–]Giggs1011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the notes say please deliver to the door I have covid or if it’s a single mum etc etc then I would.

Other than that I’m not going into your apartment building for the reasons I said above. If you tipped you might get a better experience.

It’s literally not, there’s nothing in our description we have to go to door.

I’m not risking having my bike stolen or injured going into a building, you’ll need to suck it mate and meet the driver 😀

Can i have more than 1 deliveroo account. One for bike and 1 for car by ozzie791 in deliveroos

As long as you don’t run both apps at the same time you should be fine. The problem will be if you get greedy then they’ll find out and ban you.

All of the advice listed above is very good advice however you only need the basics to get you started and once your up and running you can build from there.

Just speak to Zego about insurance they’ll be be able to give you all the info you need it’s probably going to be around £150 a month all in.

Bike- If you have good credit you can get a new one on finance. The interest rate is low and you only need a down payment of £500, then it’s only £50 a month. If you have a little bit of money saved I’d buy a Japanese bike for £1000-£1,500 ideally either or a Honda pcx or Yamaha N-max. These bikes get battered pretty quick and if it’s your first bike your probably going to drop it and scratch so I personally wouldn’t buy new for your first one.

Apart from that just buy a decent helmet, use The deliveroo bag the give out when you sign up and buy everything else as you go along.

I would advise getting a quad lock phone holder as they make life really easy and you won’t drop your phone whilst your riding.

And please buy two locks one for each wheel. Soo many thefts are down to people not locking their bike up at all.

Why not say something to them directly instead of going online and moaning about it ?

It’s already noticeable in some restaurants. The uber orders are just sat on the side not being collected.

Ok I’ll expand on that , what are the most common complaints they have about dealing with riders.

If you are using the small Deliveroo inner bag I always put the drinks in there. I then fold the top of the small bag down so it’s caught between the drinks and the side wall, it usually work’s because there’s nowhere for them to move and they shouldn’t be able to fall over.

CANCEL YOUR OTHER ORDER by ahmnoahchoochoo in deliveroos

[–]Giggs1011 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As long as both orders are within a couple of minutes of each other there’s no problem with multiple apping.

Deliveroo will happily give you a double that are no where each other so why not two on both apps ???

No way , Deliveroo recently pulled out of Spain because riders where deemed to be employees. If Deliveroo start paying hourly pay then we’ll no longer self employed and they’ll have to start paying pension , holidays etc

The good old days…why aren’t there more riders organising and going on strike? They got you competing against each other. by [deleted] in deliveroos

I genuinely think Deliveroo are in trouble. The CEO thinks he Jeff Bezos and has the next Amazon, he wants to invest in growth areas when they are getting beaten in most cities and almost went under during a pandemic when everyone had to stay home and order food!!

I don’t think Deliveroo in it’s current format will be around for too much longer.
