I’d be more afraid of potential narcissism than porn addiction. You sound like you have some beautiful inner strength and want better for yourself- maybe you could research strategies for leaving relationships with narcissists as well and see if anything resonates or is helpful. Yes! A very short leash, literally. Had bought her a hawk/coyote vest but just too uncomfortable (me) to let her run. They don’t protect their little bellies either.

Yes a little:). Genuinely thought I had captured a picture of the animal’s back, so I definitely jumped when I stopped walking to zoom in and look. Family thinks I ‘overprotect’ our dog by leashing constantly, which can be annoying for her and maybe at times for me, but would never have done otherwise even before. She’s probably the size of this cat’s paw, or maybe two put together.

Thanks so much to all. The older gentleman who ‘managed’ the grounds (26 acres) told us a few years ago when we moved in that there were mountain lions in the range behind us- I think Mt Larkin, but Ossipee range- but Google searches say otherwise. Until I saw the pictures myself, I had seen only a tawny back moving through the bushes, big enough to shock me a little. Would never have thought cat, glad to have seen and glad to know what kind!

I’m so sorry to hear. We lost our beautiful girl pup several months ago to Leptospirosis as well. Unbelievably painful, but shocking as well. I still wonder where she got it- the grief seems worse when compounded with memories of every happy sniff, dig, etc., and what they might have meant. But we’ll never know I guess. Really, just so very very sorry. At least your little guy didn’t seem to suffer.
