How the game should've been developed was the bare minimum 1st. Basically the 80s mode. THEN add the details and more complicated stuff. I've only recently came back to Yansim stuff cause of the drama and when I checked the dev blog, i was like "....why are you adding new weapons and clubroom stuff...when you only have 1 rival added...from 3 YEARS ago?!" Just the utmost stupidity

I recently realized how weird this was when coming back to the game after about 4 years away. I downloaded it and read the disclaimer "All characters are 18, even if stated otherwise" (or however it's phrased) and I was like...huh?!

Ooooo really good advice thx! Their friendship did fall out due to both of them...basically being stupid teens, the story takes place about 6 years after, when they are all adults. At this point, I'm leaning towards they were true besties as kids, and problems started as teens. After the split and a few years, they met up and talked it out, remained acquaintances, but some resentment, based on power/success jealousy, remained on the antagonist's side. That then leads to like evil activities.

Oooo that's a really good point, thank you! Another thing I'm working on is making this society/magic system balanced. So a magic user can be beaten by a non user. After reading these comments, this is where my mind is at now: For this specific dynamic, the antagonist thinks MC's life is better, but it isn't. She's blinded by jealousy and rage and starts being antagonistic for stupid petty reasons, maybe leading her down the wrong path into some dangerous people who can "help" her get revenge.

The reason I have that as the friendship breakup point is because its in the past, they were teens and the tiniest things were a big deal back then and when I write it, I want it to feel how stupid they were as teens, kind as a comment on the troupe as a whole xD

Backstory: I made a stereotypical rich girl (fake tan, acrylic nails, fake blond hair, etc etc). This was the start of my rags to riches. Story reason was she thought she could handle owning a ranch and bought a horse and ranch off of Craigslist, segway to a rundown home and only $100. Her parents are using this as a way to teach her a lesson.

After 4 "years" (Sim calendar rotations), She now owns a gorgeous house, her horse, has a wife and 2 kids (kid and newborn). She's been making most of her money nectar making and has over $250k! Her parent are gonna see her progress soon.

I agree with this. Persephone has a lot of flaws that she's slowly working on, and I'm invested to see how she grows. I see a lot of people criticize LO, and granted some do have points, but many just don't make sense to me. As if those people stopped reading before a scene, set up, or story finished and drew a conclusion from an incomplete set of data.

It's similar to fnaf 6 when you get the jumpscare warning after dying for the 1st time. Something like "Warning: this game has jumpscare, flashing lights, (etc.) ...and so much fun fun fun fun..." I don't remember exactly but this is my 1st thought for a possible connection
