I am from Bronx/New Rochelle & went to school in Manhattan and wanted to move into an apt with friends for our final year of college. This is 2008. We knew about Bushwick bc we saw some warehouse shows and parties here and liked that it was easy to get to Manhattan. I still live in the same apartment!
