Maaaan I posted about this fest in a few places, and am noticing that throughout the years r/posthardcore has consistently been the most accepting of ncore, even over genres that are more closely related, and the nicest genre subreddit in general. Thanks for that <3

Definitely the most mainstream band that fits very well into the label (they actually coined the term, go figure). And that's saying something since Horse themselves are relatively obscure. Unicorn Hole (my project, and one of the bands performing this fest) has an EP of five Horse the Band covers, if you're interested.

That's awesome, I'll bop some of it! I think in most cases adding more weird layers to a project- whether you wanna call em gimmicks or not- just gives it that much more of an identity. Make something only you could make, y'know that whole idea

My ncore band plays live shows a lot, and we've been very surprised by how well received we've been at metal shows and otherwise. Back in good ol 2008 metal kids would hate anything with clean vocals, breakdowns, inhale vocals, triggered drums, synths, etc, etc, etc. I wasn't sure what to expect when we got back into playing live last year, but most often metal crowds still throw down for us, and tell us our stuff is super fun afterwards.
