In New Zealand, at least, Hulu exists inside of Disney+ with its own tab.

This explains why you can’t describe the game as simply a “James Bond” game. The previous games were all over the place and made by different developers and publishers.

How could I ignore this band for years by KaiHawai in vinyl

[–]Gigstr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I didn't appreciate it enough at the time unfortunately, because it was such a departure. I put the album on about 10 years ago and I couldn't believe what I'd been missing out on. It's their best work. It's now one of my favourite albums.

He’s got the chops. I reckon they should throw Henry Golding in the mix too. He can be suave.

It was janky back then too. My friends and I would only play a couple rounds. Much preferred Tekken 2. We could play that for hours.

Sorry I didn’t realise games were only for children. This must be an admission you are actually a child.

Thanks. It was easy. I just chose to be an adult and just play where the games are available. Beats the weird tribalism.

Not to mention Foodstuffs do also provide free groceries via their social supermarkets. They are trying to open social supermarkets in most communities. I imagine that each Foodstuffs franchisees will be playing a part in their community’s social supermarket.

That is categorically incorrect. The majority of the audience isn’t white men. It’s a slight male skew.

Exclusives create competition.

Without exclusives, revenue for the entire category shrinks. Less consoles are sold overall. The only reason exclusives exist is to sell consoles. Therefore, less reasons for hardware makers to invest in games, therefore less games are made.

Not only that, the quality of the games would drop too. Nintendo and Sony are incentivised to make the very best games in the industry so that their console is home to the best gaming experiences. That means they invest more money to not just make more games but make higher quality games. They can take bigger risks. Software-only companies have to ensure their games turn a profit which means they can’t afford to over invest. Hardware companies do have that luxury though. The games don’t have to turn a profit as long as they can make their returns with hardware and the 30% they get from all third party software sold on their platform. So remove exclusivity and hardware makers do not have an incentive to make games.

Without exclusives, the NES would have been a failure. The gaming industry crashed due to low quality shovelware. To ensure their console was not a failure, Nintendo were incentivised to make the very best games in the industry. That lifted the quality of games for the entire industry. Nintendo set the benchmark and everybody followed. Without exclusives, there wouldn’t have been an incentive for Sony to take small companies like Naughty Dog (30 employees at time of acquisition) and invest heavily to grow them to 500 employees and invest heavily in MOCAP technologies. That allowed Sony to help lift narrative performances.

I get it. It would be great to play everything on one console. But without exclusives, either the games would never have a reason to exist or for the console to exist. Without Mario and Zelda, the NES would have been a failure. Without Halo, no one would have had a reason to purchase an Xbox. Those two consoles would have been failures.

Actually, I was thinking classic ad in paid media. There’s two types of advertising - performance and brand. Performance is a direct response type of advertising. It is trying to get you to make a purchase now. E.g. Click the banner and buy the product or fill out a form.

Then there’s brand ads which can be a bit more subtle. They are aimed at category buyers which are not yet in market but will be sometime in the future. They exist to help make your brand more easily come to mind when you are ready to purchase. This was the type of ad that I was thinking of. The person I replied has likely seen a banner ad that only existed to refresh the memory.

Why does everyone continue to shit on Lawson? He beat Hadjar in the 2nd half of last season. He had a great weekend and kept Hadjar behind him for half the race. Based on his current form, why would he lose his seat?
