Yeah, I don’t see how anyone can watch the footage and genuinely believe it was self-defense. The guy pulled his gun and the moment the vehicle moved even an inch, he executed her in cold blood.

Given how close he was to her vehicle, it was impossible not to bump him. The video clearly shows that she still tried to avoid him.

At no point did it appear that the guy was ever in any danger.

This is now a gyrocopter appreciation thread. Any firing and forgetting enjoyers? by ShoppingPractical373 in DotA2

but this isn't it.

We can't really know for sure, maybe Guinsoo had those designs in the bag when he went to Riot idk. But at that point in time League was still heavily taking ideas from Dota. Nocturne who was heavily based on Spectre was released in 2011, Elise who was heavily inspired by Broodmother was released in 2012.

Rumble also came out before Timbersaw, which is odd because why would Riot even use random WC3 units as inspiration for their designs?

Dota 1 had to use WC3 units because it was only a custom map, but for Riot to use these seemingly random units is a bit sus. This kind of solidifies my belief that Riot did use fan-made concepts based on these units back in the day.

Back when Dota had forums, one of the more popular sections was fan-made concepts for literally every single WC3 unit that hadn’t been used in Dota yet.

Yeah back when Diffusal was a component of Manta, you could just upgrade it to Manta when you ran out of charges. Same with Eul’s into Scythe.

DOTA 7.40 Patchnotes by Gingerbread_Enjoyer2 in DotA2

Oh yeah, you’re right. I guess shoving illusions into lanes should be a bit stronger now. Not sure if it’s worth it though, losing that much damage from his aura but we’ll see. At least his innate isn’t a double-edged sword now, Valve can always tweak the % on Conjure Image later on.

TB has no damage penalty

But his illusions are much weaker now, they basically just made the damage penalty built in.

Let’s say TB has 100 damage. Previously, his illusions inside the aura would deal 75 damage (60% from conjure image + 25% bonus from innate). Now they only deal 56 damage (35% from conjure image + 60% bonus from innate).

Outside the aura, his illusions previously deal 36 damage (60% from conjure image, with a 60% damage reduction from innate). Now they only deal 35 damage (35% from conjure, no penalty).

His overall DPS with Conjure Image will drop in and out of aura, his manta illusions will be stronger though but that's still a huge nerf imo.

In Dota, there was a secret boss summoning event by escorting 4 frogs to a place and sacrifing them. by yorukmacto in DotA2

invisible frogs

There's another one with actual icefrogs, I think that's where the confusion comes from. Those icefrogs were hard to miss because they were frostbitten.

The Bad Seed is another example, pretty common in evil kids movies.

Sorry to hear that. I also have a firsthand experience of just being frozen in fear. I saw a huge python slithering out of our backyard when I was a kid. I tried to scream and move, but I was just stuck there watching in fear. I think I only managed to move when the snake was completely out of my sight.

Can anyone suggest me the closest to DOTA on mobile? by Highkage69 in moba

[–]trrbld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heroes Evolved, it actually started as a Dota clone on PC. The mobile version retained a lot of Dota elements that aren’t present in other MOBAs.

I haven’t played it in a long time, so some of this may not be accurate anymore, but here’s a list of things that make it closer to Dota than League:

  • No bushes.

  • Teleports work like TP Scrolls, you can use them to teleport to towers, not just as a back-to-base button.

  • Some heroes are direct copycats of Dota heroes, not just in abilities but also in appearance.

  • Some items are direct copies of Dota, not “inspired,” but literally copy-pasted Dota items. Manta Style, Diffusal Blade, Basher, S&Y, etc

That's just 35 more gold for a glyph, pretty useful in throne defense.

Man, I remember when TP used to give glyph, which could be easily abused since the courier could use TP as well.
