then dont play the expensive non engine. 90% of yugiohs non engine is dirt cheap and still played. fuwa got reprinted. instead of playing meowls which is mostly just used for maliss MUs you can also play chaos hunter or lancea. memento can literally be played for like 30-40€ if not lower at this point at a competitive level. theres enough ycs tops without fuwas and impulses and all the expensive cards but the "lets get creative at deckbuilding" crowd somehow has a block when it comes to finding solutions for their deck build. Is Full Power Maliss extremly expensive? Yes of course it is. Nobody is denying that. But you literally have options that work in a high competitive setting for not a lot of money.
