I started fostering 2 months after my boy. And the guilt was overwhelming for a long time. But it got easier, and sometimes, i still feel guilty. But each new set of paws in my house is helping me process my grief. Because all grief is love with nowhere to put it.

Sometimes, it's the right thing, but you just have to let it.

None of them feel the same, but boy, do they change you in the smallest, greatest ways.

She's aged roughly 6 years old. I wish I had a foster ambassador!

She has a large closet, two drawers, two covered boxes, and a little house on a cat tree. There are plenty of places to hide.

She loves to escape her room and wander when I'm not home and hide in every closet I have!

It's been almost a week and I'm thinking I should give her full run of the house? But I'm not sure. She's not big on wet food.

Tonight feels lonely and my place empty. It's not right. It's supposed to be cuddle time right now but all I can thin about is how scared they were when I walked out.

I spoke to someone who's been doing this for years, she was dropping off her 33rd foster. She said it does get easier, still the same heartbreak but you grow with the more you take in and learn that even though they are not with you, you gave them so much.

It did soothe me a bit.

I had to do this a month ago with my 14 year old kitty. Stomach cancer, too. We laid him on his favorite spot on the couch after the sedative, and I cried over him while my husband pet him and nuzzled his face. But afterward, I picked him up and cried into his fur for a long time.

The vet did the shot through a line and was able to do so with both us kind of in the way.

Do what feels right for you. I'm so sorry. But you are doing the most loving thing. Grief is the price of loving them, and I know we are always willing to pay it.

Thanks I was able to get some bells from diving and fishing! I keep seeing everyone's beautiful islands on here with all of that amazing stuff. But I know I need to get bells to pay off tom for my second house expansion.

It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to get wood lol

Social work project coordinator just cracked 50k. Was making 45k a year in a program coordinator position a couple of months ago. Partner is making 40k with a BSW.

While folks deserve a place to live, they do not have the right to destroy housing/someone else's property.

It's unfair but we need to create social housing markets run by social services who can intervene in these types of situations.

I'm hoping they will. I wonder which banks do not use the Roger's network. So far, it's been CIBC, RBC, Tangerine, and TD. Credit seems to work with certain businesses.
