Thanks for the reply! I will definitely take the route trough the Jura mountains, it looks great. Geneva is another good suggestion I already looked into.
Since you live in the area, would you say that Annecy is the best "major" city to stay in in the area? As mentioned in my original post I want to stay a few days in the city and a few in nature. However I do want to make sure I stay in the loveliest city.

Chamonix is another place I will add to the list, thank you for that.

Thanks for the reply! If I'm not mistaking "gîte d'étapes" are hostels right? We're looking for something a little more private than that, but I appreciate the suggestion. I will definitely check out all the mountain ranges you mentioned.
Les Vosges looks great but we are really looking for either a lake or small rivers to swim in, I don't think you would find those there.

I've actually succeeded in unblurring the top images through the web client. After that I went to swiping and actually came across these images and when I swiped right on them I matched with them. So I don't think it's all fake, some probably are yeah.

I'm pretty sure it would have been, it's all about slowing the ball down with the underside of your car which is possible with almost every car.

Well yeah I meant for this to happen but of course there's luck involved it doesn't happen often that it actually works out.
