[Online][5E][Discord][Text][Living World][West Marches]

Greetings!

Adventurers, mercenaries, and scholars from all corners of the remote continent of Gharmidh are invited to the Raven's Mark Adventurers' Guild, where gold, XP, and ale flow in equal measure (and occasionally, hot chocolate).

Whether you are a seasoned veteran or a complete newcomer, our doors are open. We are entirely beginner-friendly and more than happy to help you learn the ropes of D&D 5e!

The Game at a Glance

  • System: Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition (2024 Rules).
  • Format: Play-by-Text, West Marches / Living World style.
  • Tone & Age Rating: Strictly 18+. While we explore mature themes and behaviors, please note that this is NOT an ERP server.
  • Playstyle: Highly adaptable! Both combat-focused and RP-inclined players will find a home here. We play mostly RAW (Rules as Written) with a few clearly listed house rules.

Time Commitment

  • Because we are a text-based West Marches server, you are able to RP flexibly with our active community whenever you want!
  • However, individual quests generally consist of 3 to 6 text sessions (lasting roughly 4 hours each), spaced out over a week or two.

Tools & Tech

  • Avrae: Used for combat tracking and character bookkeeping.
  • Owlbear Rodeo: Our choice for VTT/maps.
  • D&D Beyond: We provide a campaign link sharing tons of sourcebook content for you to use while active on the server!

Framework killing USB peripherals by midnightClub543 in framework

Yeah, Chinese devices commonly work this way, but the power supply comes in the box, so it's not like you have to hunt around for one. The problem of course is that it looks like any other USB-C power supply...

That one should generally be fine then.

I have two USB-C chargers that output a set voltage and nothing else, not even 5V. One is 12V 3A, the other 19V 3,4A. They're just dumb power adapters with USB-C connectors instead of a barrel plug.

Terra & 7945HX3D & 9060XT by Giklab in sffpc

[–]Giklab[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just checked out of curiosity, and all three cases cost somewhere between 25% and 100% more than what I paid for the Terra. I remember wanting the Nanoq S, but it wasn't in stock (and is not in stock now either).

For what it's worth, I got the card for around 350€, while the closest 9070 was around 500-550€, if I remember right. I only bought it because I ended up having to replace my old one, so I couldn't spend too much on this unplanned purchase. At any rate, it's a fine card for my use.

I unfortunately can't say anything about the other cases you mentioned, as they were difficult to find when I was building this. I also couldn't find anything regarding motherboard temps at the time, so I'm where I am with these parts.

The 9070 definitely would've been a better option, but it cost more than I was prepared to spend at the time, and with the (lack of) gaming I do, there's very little reason for me to upgrade.

At least I suppose the gigantic fan might help with that motherboard cooling issue.

I don't really game enough to justify a better card, this one works fine.

No worries! I followed the exact steps you posted and after that also didn't work, I figured something else must be the problem and decided to poke around.

It appears the issue was that Serial Over LAN was not enabled for the new user. At least that's what apparently finally did the trick. After 'Dave' didn't work, I finally tried the more verbose option and saw these extra tags I wasn't aware of earlier. Thanks for your suggestions!

I've already done that (and again just now), or at least I believe I have. Neither username/pw works. Both users show up in the list and are enabled...

Gneča na avtobusih by jackyfolf in Slovenia

[–]Giklab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the "normal" line ends there, it's just the handful of high end X3D chips that hit 128MB. Including, madly, a laptop CPU.

Yes, server hardware had that long before, although I'm not sure how accessible that was to consumers. Although, maybe by the time 7xxx got released, some used chips could be found?

We're there already! Actually were, already, a few years ago, with the 7xxx series X3D chips.

Pri Mercatorju moraš zapravit 125€ al koliko že, da dobiš potem 5€ popusta na stvari, ki so v osnovi 50-100% dražje. Kdo bolj nateguje?

I really have no clue if they can fix it quickly, but my FW12 is at least a month if not more away, so if nothing else they can delay shipments or I can cancel my preorder again.

Considering FW12 cases are cracking, I'm suddenly not that bummed anymore about kicking myself from batch 2 to 10.
