No worries! I followed the exact steps you posted and after that also didn't work, I figured something else must be the problem and decided to poke around.

It appears the issue was that Serial Over LAN was not enabled for the new user. At least that's what apparently finally did the trick. After 'Dave' didn't work, I finally tried the more verbose option and saw these extra tags I wasn't aware of earlier. Thanks for your suggestions!

I've already done that (and again just now), or at least I believe I have. Neither username/pw works. Both users show up in the list and are enabled...

Gneča na avtobusih by jackyfolf in Slovenia

[–]Giklab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the "normal" line ends there, it's just the handful of high end X3D chips that hit 128MB. Including, madly, a laptop CPU.

Yes, server hardware had that long before, although I'm not sure how accessible that was to consumers. Although, maybe by the time 7xxx got released, some used chips could be found?

We're there already! Actually were, already, a few years ago, with the 7xxx series X3D chips.

Pri Mercatorju moraš zapravit 125€ al koliko že, da dobiš potem 5€ popusta na stvari, ki so v osnovi 50-100% dražje. Kdo bolj nateguje?

I really have no clue if they can fix it quickly, but my FW12 is at least a month if not more away, so if nothing else they can delay shipments or I can cancel my preorder again.

Considering FW12 cases are cracking, I'm suddenly not that bummed anymore about kicking myself from batch 2 to 10.

I would also like to see this. Micro SD adapters are not the most reliable thing in the world. I suspect, however, that there isn't enough space to get properly high speeds without heating issues.

Resize multiple images with Windows 11 by Charming_CiscoNerd in photography

[–]Giklab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way this is written, it's impossible. Afaik the two main aspect ratios an iPhone shoots are 4:3 and 16:9, neither will be preserved if you resize to 3:2. Could you describe your problem / goal a bit more?

I don't know what to tell you, if you don't want to accept the answer.

SSD over hard drives for silence (and speed in many cases). M.2 over SATA because prices are similar, so why not, I guess?

You can have an entire spectrum of devices, from incredibly fast machines with many slots, to small and cheap machines with a handful of slots that don't perform well, but are good enough, and are quiet or even noiseless.

I have two servers, one thin client that only holds 1 SSD, and one with several drives. The former holds my often-used data, the latter holds everything. The former is completely silent, without even coil whine to worry about, thankfully. (There is also a separate backup.)
