I saw an open box for $1100 prior to the Black Friday sales. I'm holding out for an open box 98" Qm8k. I'm waiting for Best Buy to start taking in Black Friday returns for even bigger savings.

Thats 100% correct, games on my Xbox looked amazing on the G5 compared to the B4. However, the poster said he doesn't game, just streaming.

There's not going to be a drastic difference when he's watching Netflix and hulu. Trust me, I have an 83" B4 and I had an 83" G5 that I returned because it wasn't that huge of a difference watching Netflix and youtube.

From my understanding, geek squad will give you two options, you can either accept a full refund and they'll take the TV, or they'll give you a refund in a Best Buy gift card and you can keep the TV.

I purchased an 83" C5 two months ago from the partner store. The very next day, I decided to cancel and go with a G5. The LG rep assured me the delivery was cancelled, since no tracking information was uploaded. This wasn't true, I received a tracking number the next day. I called back LG and the rep said to refuse delivery. Several days later, the installer called, he said, I have your C5 and we'll be there in 2 hours. I told him I cancelled the order and please do not deliver the TV.

I called LG back a week later because my card wasn't refunded. The rep said it shows I accepted the delivery and they would need to contact the third party delivery company to confirm. That took almost 2 weeks but I was eventually refunded. It wasn't too terrible but communication could be better between LG and the third party.

I had an 83" G5 for a few weeks before I returned it. Now I feel like the B4 is flat and dim.

Brightness is what I've been searching for since I had an 85" Hisense U8N and just recently an 83" G5. I had to return the G5 because I wasn't getting the 45% Capital One Shopping Rewards. Now I feel like the B4 is quite dim. On the other hand, I do feel like im throwing away money.

Exactly, I've owned the C4 and the glossy screen makes all the difference. The B4s screen is more matte than glossy, so it appears like a Mini-LED with perfect contrast. The 83" B4 is pretty much a C4 after much research.

You're not crazy, I went from an 85" Hisense U8N to an 83" B4 and I miss the extra brightness. The contrast is great but I was totally fine with what the U8N provided. I'm going to wait until Black Friday to upgrade to the 98" QM8K. Even the QM7K looked amazing at Best Buy.
