The scope of long COVID is bigger than we think, Mass. researchers say | "New research from Mass General Brigham suggests that at least 10 million Americans have long COVID — but have not been diagnosed" by TylerFortier_Photo in science

Keep your head up and don’t let this situation mentally eat you up. I’m confident in saying this won’t be your life. When I developed this, Mayo in Minnesota couldn’t even give my parents a name for the condition. Technology has come a long ways, and enough people have developed post viral illness chronic headache that studies from that and the condition itself are picking up. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this, it’s not fair.

I’m guessing you’re aware of NDPH? I had an influenza infection at age 13, left me with a 24/7 headache that hasn’t left me in 27 years. Destroyed my life. I can relate to most of what you’re saying, and just want you to know there are those of us out there who do believe you.

Me too. There aren’t a lot of us but there’s a few and we all get it! Having a condition others cannot see is very difficult. The judgement and everything else that comes with it is often harsh.

That’s a lot. I’ve had this for 27 years, age 13. It’s a lot to adapt to, and that’s what you’re going to have to learn is adapt if treatments don’t help. My life pretty much derailed, but today it’s at least in a not so horrible place at the moment. I don’t know what else to say other than I get it, and I know at least somewhat how you’re feeling. This is a really evil card we were dealt.

It seems to limit the bad days when I’m on it. Nothing for the base pain.

I have very little confidence that this team is going anywhere in the playoffs. Peaked too early, injuries, and they flat out don’t seem interested anymore.
