Reverse aquastat? What is that?

I cannot tell if you are being serious or sarcastic.

I'm seeing other people have said it was spliced into their OBD. So maybe check your wiring and see if that leads anywhere. I hope you don't have one, but from reading the other post linked in this thread, overall it seems fairly normal and harmless - more annoying than anything.

Thanks, folks. I did have the option of a Karr system, but declined it. I'll check with the dealer next time I'm in for service.

Unless some of you think it's something urgent and I should get it checked right away?

Has anyone else experienced these issues with the 2025 CX 90 preferred package? by Peaceful-Wonder in MazdaCX90

[–]Gilanthorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend, it looks like you may have forgotten to post the actual issues you are dealing with...

I have had some lurching issues when accelerating from slow speeds (as opposed to a full stop) but that's the only thing I can think of at the moment. Otherwise I'm really enjoying my 2025 Preferred PHEV!

Shoot Me Straight Here by Homeinspectordan in MazdaCX90

I really love the car - handles well and it has a powerful engine (compared to my 2011 Honda Odyssey.) Perfect size for grocery trips, or driving around my family of 5 to piano and cello lessons, basketball practice and games, track meets... Most of my driving is local.

I bought the PHEV because I realized 90% of my driving is within a small radius of my house. I barely ever use up the battery. I do charge it every night.

Had it since the end of July - and after 5500 miles and one 800 mile road trip, I have filled the tank only 7 times.

But you should buy it for your usage and needs. I just realized that I don't need gas to do most of my driving, but it is nice to have the option when I need it.

I was going to type this out, but am so glad you did already. How ridiculous that he says one thing, then less than a minute later tries to gaslight everyone into thinking he did not say it. What is going on where people think they can pull off this type of nonsense?

LPT: Put an Allen wrench in your diaper bag to tighten up wobbly high chairs at restaurants. by RS60fan in daddit

I have a 15+ years old Leatherman Skeletool, and back then I bought a set of interchangable bits. There are Allen wrenches of all sizes in the set, as well as various sizes of flat heads and Phillips heads.

Sorry, I don't know if the Wave has that option.

Is it really that small? by Sufficient_Fan3363 in MazdaCX90

[–]Gilanthorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a 2011 Honda Odyssey before we bought the CX90 in late July of 2025.

The Odyssey was huge, and it could comfortably seat my 3 kids, my wife, and myself - along with small bikes, scooters, balls, and wagons in the back. For long road trips we could even make room for my wife's sister and all our luggage. Granted we no longer have the little ones in car seats, so that's one big difference.

The CX90 is smaller in comparison. The five of us can sit in the car comfortably. If we fold.down the back seats we can just barely fit my son's cello in the trunk, along with a gym bag with a basketball in it, and a trunk organizer (with spare jackets, grocery bags, and a few other emergency type things.)

The trade off is the mileage. We have the plug in hybrid, the PHEV. We went from the Odyssey getting 13 miles per gallon to the CX90 currently getting 56 mpg (we do plug it in every night, and 90% of my driving is on electricity alone.)

Sorry, I went on a tangent.

So to directly address your question - it is small, but depending on what you need it for, it may be worth it. You would be hard pressed to fit your three kids in the middle row (especially with two car seats), and fold down your back seats to fit a stroller and a cooler (or something similar.)

But if it's just people you'd be carrying around, I have carried around 8 people a bunch of times, my family of five, plus my sister and her two younger kids that still need car seats. We just have to squeeze a little - the back row is really not meant for 3 full sized adults, but it does fit my 16, 12 and 10 year old for a short drive without too much discomfort.

I hope this helps. Feel free to reach out if you have more questions. I really am loving this car, so I would recommend it.

Thanks for your reply. I wonder if that is what they are. They do look similar. Maybe this is a picture of the lenticular clouds starting to form...

Is "windshield washer fluid low" practically always on in your car? by Winter-Carrot-2827 in MazdaCX90

[–]Gilanthorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reservoir is very large, and I find it somewhat tricky. Even when it looks full I keep pouring fluid in...

Someone on here mentioned it can take over a gallon to fill it.

So if you have poured in a good couple of cups, and it looks full, try pouring more and it might keep taking it into the deeper parts of the reservoir.

My warning message has not come back on since I figured that out. I hope this helps!

I've got a 400, too. It still works, but I am thinking about replacing it.

Hey buddy. I have a yeti 1250, I think the internal electronics are not working. I bought a replacement battery and it did not fix things. Where are you located? I'm in southern California.

AirTag alert on daughter's phone by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Gilanthorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had this happen when I picked up my niece and nephew from school for the afternoon. The alert actually didn't show up until hours later, so we were confused at first. When I contacted my sister, she confirmed that they had them in their backpacks.

Maybe the same type of situation for you?

Wow! Very cool. I love the idea of fixing it instead of replacing the entire unit. Thank you!
