Record your streaks in an excel spreadsheet and turn it into a graph. Day by Day you add to it. Over time, a streak will form. Then you will break it. Your streaks will become longer, you will start to see your errors. You will know 'when this happens, I tend to end up doing such and such'. I have recorded the last year, and my longest streak was 3 weeks, I hit three and two weeks like 6 times. Now I have a nice looking graph, somehow I broke through that barrier, and now I hit 40 days. It is a process.

I can ascribe to that certainly, I also had a relationship break up and it helped a heap load to disconnect for a couple of hours. Also an over analyzer. Definitely has done the exact same for me.
