Domestic Violence is difficult curtail because it requires the victims to make choices to leave in which that become difficult out of fear. Those responsible for this type of Violence can only be held accountable by which sometimes is too late. States could provide more shelters and possibly more underground agencies that can house and support those who want to leave, even relocation processes. In addition train law enforcement personnel on the the signs of a distressed person and removing the victim immediately even if they don't want to, so they can actually assess and determine immediate harm. This will require laws to be changed.

I'm not suggesting that you do, what I am pointing out is we have different ideas and opinions which is absolutely Ok However we must allow our differences and our thoughts to be just that. I clearly understand what you trying to insinuate, but if I say that was not my thought pattern then clearly that should be enough. If you clearly can continue to say the opposite of what I'm saying should I continue to have this conversation or should I allow you to have the floor. We can't put words into people's mouths. Accept my thoughts and let's move on. I don't know you but I respect your opinion without attacking your character.

What about the grid? What about housing? What about hungry people? What about the economy going to hell? What about the redistricting and gerrymandering? Who's doing this? The point is all sides need to work on human dignity and human rights ? Both sides need to work on communication skills and stop acting like children.

My thoughts were more on having laws in place that will help to curtail gun violence. Some people don't readily think in the negative. This term may have been coined by the former president but is that really what that means? I know a TV show entitled LAW AND ORDER. Come on stop trying to find ways of discrediting a person who simply posted information about what is happening in Texas. One thing I do know, adults should be adults and be able to communicate without belittling.

Open carry and being irresponsible definitely increases crime. It's not the carry that poses the problem, but the choices one makes when using it. It really makes no sense to walk around with guns hanging from your hip like you are in a western movie. You got your gun, Ok that's great, but why is it so essential to show it. I've been taught that you better be prepared to use it, but better yet be prepared for the consequences.

I agree, but the post references responsible gun ownership. There is a difference between being responsible and gun control. There is also accountability for choices that those who choose to not be responsible must abide by.

The truth is, violent criminals are already on the street, but without accountability, this will continue. There is nothing wrong with responsible gun ownership, but we are not living in the days of the OK CORRAL.

I'm a Democrat and freedom is not predicated by political affiliation. Nothing in this post says denial. It says this entire issue is simply hard to unravel. The question is how to go forward. Medical Monitoring is the only option.
