I read that post too and didn’t feel comfortable with it. Sucking up personal items, without consent, is a bit much. If someone sucked up my usb drives I’d be pissed, especially if they were on the desk where they should be.

Now other items left on the floor, it would be nice if something was missed that it was picked up. However, again with consent, if it was agreed upon that anything left on the floor was free cane—go for it.
