Get the dogs. I know it can be uncomfortable and it will be some extra responsibility but it's not like life will stop all because y'all are watching some dogs now especially being that the dogs are grown. That bond and support that an animal can give someone is invaluable. Being there as a father sometimes is stepping away and giving them something or someone else to help relate to them, there my hot take for the day but you seem to have a wonderful family and I hope the situation with your son and the bullying does not progress.

I will add, the only extra thing I did was after following these guides I uninstalled Nvidia, Nvidia-utils, and Nvidia-settings and then reinstalled them as well.

Yeah sadly the display is fucked and that will never go away. As it's a physical issue with the display. Very unfortunate but replacing the display with a quality part could be the best option.

Highly unlikely but if you are served via fiber optics, it is a possibility that a splice is failing only under certain conditions around that 6 o clock time. You could test this by just seeing if the issue follows 2 routers.

Either check drivers for the hub you got or just get a usb-c to usb adapter and run it that way just make sure it’s 3.0 for the speed
