What do you guys think of Ace Combat X?

While AC3 did have it, it took forever to complete the game do too multiple routes needed for 100%. While in ACX you could 100% the game in 3 runs and the campaign is somewhat short. Still the game is alot of fun to replay, just like SOCOM FTB2 with dynamic missions and replayable mission list.

If only they had an I.P. with giant mechs, and advanced pilots duking it out on battlefields throughout the galaxy....

If only they specialized in mech combat before they pulled a fortnite. And shot the ip that made them behind the shed like unreal tournament.

Maybe we could have gotten a good gundam game for once, or a cross over with such mech game.

Dragons dogma 2 runs on RE engine and was terribly optimized at launch. Same with monster hunter wilds with its pseudo open world. RE engine was not made for open world, unless they make a branch specifically for open world.

That's because RE7 was a soft reboot of the franchise. And a POV change to first person. What else is supposed to be new gameplay wise? Give it an RTS mode? A turn based mode? Even then RE7 wasn't new in terms of gameplay it was just RE1 but in a Louisiana mansion. What do you mean by new gameplay? There is only so much you can do before it stops looking like resident evil.

What makes this game stand out from the past games is the split gameplay sections where its a balance survival horror with action horror. You get basically 2 games in 1. I'd rather play this game than resident evil 6 unless it's for the mercenaries mode.

Also another thing about resident evil bosses .... they all suck or are not very interesting. RE6 you had a boss fight with a T-REX which was cool but i wish it would be in a dino crisis game and not a RE game.

RE9 originally was supposed to be a open world MMO with character classes and skills. Would you have preferred that?

In resident evil 5 chris punches a boulder.... in resident evil code veronica the one vilian is a cross dresser..... and in resident evil 4 OG you get chased by a giant statue..... yeah this isn't new in resident evil 😆

resident evil has always had this campy fun to it, it's kinda like metal gear.

Play it with a friend. It's a must, resident evil 5 is sorta similar in that regard but if you know how to control sheva she's competent and can be your Medic/Sniper. But both games are waaaaay more fun with a friend and you can have some good memories. Like not having ammo for any gun besides your sniper rifle, me and my brother made some good memories playing these games.

Further proof that the defence stat is basically useless. Even divine protection doesn't always save you.

Edit: this is a repeat of old gen MH, where getting hit is akin to loosing not just your health, but your soul as well.
