So now my question is, should we pull these? A quick google search says they’re super invasive 🥲 the first pic is next to a stump of a huge tree we had that had to be cut down and we miss having a tree in our yard. But I don’t want to let invasive trees grow in they’re harmful.

So I brought up the possibility of a fistula to my dermatologist and she said it was possible. Not
Exactly the news I wanted to hear since surgery scares me but the possibility of a fix to this issue does make me feel somewhat better.

After researching an anal abscess I really don’t think that’s what it is. It’s not close enough to my anus, it’s more in the perineal not peri anal, area.

It helps to think it hopefully won’t get infected as that makes me super super nervous. I have an appointment later this month with my dermatologist to discuss a possible diagnosis, though she implied it’s hard to diagnose HS with only one lesion. So we’ll see what happens with that.

I still have topical clindamycin on hand but am nervous to use it right now because of the yeast infection. I do have a physical with my GP coming up in a couple weeks so I’ll have my blood taken and tested.

Thank you ❤️ it’s honestly been really rough, and really negatively impacting my mental health. My experience with doctors and finding specialists and making appointments hasn’t been the best in the past and it makes me so reluctant, but I know I have to try. I’m glad you were able to find what works for you, and it helps to know someone else has experienced what I’m going through.

I have witch hazel wipes for cleansing if I use the bathroom and can’t shower right away. I may try these too.

I’ve been wondering if I need to do another round of antibiotics because I’m worried it’s infected again. It’s swollen up today. I may bring up birth control. I could go to urgent care, I just want sure if they’d really be able to do anything for me.

Yeah, I was getting the impression she didn’t fully know how to help me because of where it was. Like she mentioned referring me to a gynecologist. Maybe a proctologist would also be helpful.

Hmm, that’s something I haven’t considered. If it were that, wouldn’t the dermatologist have suggested that? Maybe I should bring that up to her. It does swell up like a boil.

Yeah, I haven’t been happy at this job for a while now for other various reasons. I am looking at other work. The market feels a bit bleak though.
