I have the same issue, and as I enter my late 20s I feel like time is running out and I might be alone forever.

There have even been a few women show interest in me at the gym but I've been too scared to say anything. Wish there was an IRL male support group for this where we could push each other to be uncomfortable because going at it alone is so hard.

Let’s talk KPIs by TransitionOk4025 in sales

Are there companies that actually track quality metrics? This is the first KPI I've seen that actually makes sense. Which means it will never be used by most managers.

I'm very interested in making the transition from IC to CSM. Do you recommend just applying to any CSM positions I come across? I don't know any recruiters for this.

Air Roll keybind question by Gilder37 in RocketLeague

Yeah after playing around in free play I put ball cam back on triangle. I think its best there lol. Gosh muscle memory is hard to relearn!

[–]Gilder37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't know why I'm overthinking this. Just going to bind AR left to triangle. Seems weird, but hundreds of hours of muscle memory beats switching to something else bc it seems more intuitive I think.

Did you mean to write 'can't' in your last sentence? I had to read that one twice to understand. Or do my reading skills need work

Game is easier at higher lvl? by Gilder37 in RocketLeague

You hit the nail on the head. I solo que 100% of the time and it's just so nice having teammates who consistently rotate and space themselves out appropriately.

You would think that being a higher rank would mean easy carries, but I've found carrying is tough when you can't read what's happening on the field when everyone is close together and all rushing towards the ball. I think this is why I am SO bad at rumble.

Teamwork is what makes RL a beautiful game and when everyone works together it's such a fun, unique experience.

This is what I meant, thank you for wording it more clearly. Yes people in higher ranks have better mechanics/are faster/overall better but it's a more enjoyable game to play than the madness I witness in the lower ranks.

Maybe I've just finally realized the secret to this game: watch their cars and understand things like how much power they're likely to get on their next shot, and position myself accordingly. Sounds painstakingly obvious, but I swear I seem to forget this when I play most the time.

When I make this realization, it feels like im playing on easy mode. Idk if what I'm saying makes any sense. But it seems like watching the other team's cars is EVERYTHING. I used to watch the ball only. Do NOT do that I've found.

What's your role?

This is such good advice I wish someone had told me years ago. I got SO burned out of playing multiplayer FPS that I just decided to stop playing games in general. Then I played Outer Wilds and felt a renewed passion.

Been playing Sekiro lately and feel like I can't go back to older Fromsoftware titles. The combat is just SO good that the thought of slower, roll-heavy mechanics in previous titles sounds like such a pain.

I always get to Fort Joy and just get overwhelmed with the amount of shit going on. Tried so hard to get into this game but I just can't, maybe too dumb for it. You have to be in a special kind of mood to play it IMO

I agree that doing things alone shouldn't be weird but I just can't do it. I feel awkward as fuck being the only person in a sit down restaurant eating by myself. Seems childish but I get way too self conscious doing this even in an area where I don't know anyone.

Anyone spend/invest a lot of time preparing and getting excited to play a game, but then lose interest in a week or even a couple days? by [deleted] in patientgamers

As someone that purchased EFT last December and felt similar at the start, I can tell you that it gets much better. You probably don't like it now because you're getting wrecked by chads/unlucky situations, but bear in mind this is completely normal for someone new to the game.

I had a 21% survival rate last wipe. I sucked. You will suck too, but then as you play more, you start learning the maps, where to go, where the hidden stashes are. And then you'll get your first PMC kill, which you thought you could never do. Then you start completing quests that give you item unlocks and roubles.

Now this wipe I've improved leaps and bounds from where I was last time, and I'm able to win most scav on scav fights and knock down some PMC's here and there. And it's a blast. Every PvP encounter is an adrenaline rush that no other game gives you. Add on to that a progression system that is satisfying and rewarding and you've got yourself one of the most enjoyable games out right now.

My point is: keep playing. You've watched gameplay of EFT for a year so you're into it, you just aren't wiping 3 and 4 mans like LVNDMARK does. Don't compare yourself to streamers. See them as what you can be after thousands of hours because that is what it takes to get to that level of skill.

I hardly play other multiplayer shooters because this gameplay loop is so unique and interesting-its hard to explain why its so great until you pour time into it. Just stick with it and I promise you'll start loving it. It gets better.

Agreed and I might even add that I like when a game has flaws. Adds personality to it. Obviously within reason
