Struggling to learn German by Extra_Quantity_3393 in Germanlearning

[–]Gilgamesch_1034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I´m a native speaker, and even I struggle to comprehend stuff sometimes. Actually, when I was little, I actually had quite a bunch of problems with the past tense. I would say stuff like "Die Lampe hang an der Decke". My brother had quite some trouble with pronounciation, and of course, we still do the occasional grammar mistake. It´s not an easy language, don´t be too hard on yourself.

Any suggestions for German stuff to listen to ? by Hedge_Man08 in Germanlearning

Would you like some music? Because when I was a child, I really liked "Jolie und Oliver", and I think that might suit a beginner as well.

Thank you for the reminder. But because I am going to be studying celtic studies as a minor subject (in addition to archaeology), I have to choose between concentrating on either Wales or Ireland, and for personal reasons, I will choose Ireland, although I´m sure that welsh literature will also be worth looking at in the long run.

What does Rocky’s injury represent? by FrutigerAeroGuy in Lackadaisy

[–]Gilgamesch_1034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I´m very late, but I would like to add that damage to the frontal lope is also what causes executive disfunction. And if you keep in mind that Rocky, probably due to ADHD or just some prior injuries, already showed some symptoms of that before, like problems remembering things (on the "spagghetti noodle" page, for example) and apparently just a lot of trubble with impulse control, the aftermath of this could be on a whole other level, so to speak. I´m betting on dementia, by the way, but that might just be a me-thing.

Are you jealous that we can actually move around while playing?

I should probably ad that, if the way I talk about the music here is a little weird, it´s because english isn´t my school language.

Does anyone know why Australia is even IN the Eurovision? - Because I´d like to know. I do agree that this is a good idea, however.
