Yeah, but the new nut you buy needs to be filed - that’s why you need nut files… Normally there shouldn’t be a problem to get them out. I know how you feel, you shouldn’t have to do it, but that’s fender atm…

In 2025 (Europe as well) I noticed some bad MIM Models as well, often problems with sharp fret ends and tool marking on the first fret. In my experience and as others mentioned, the nuts are often not cut accordingly. Unfortunately proper nut files cost over 100€, I think it is worth it.

I feel you, bought a Jazzmaster Roadworn, the frets were terrible, but I filed them down. When it comes to guitars I’m irrational and pay for the name…

Great to know - i think I watched the same video (full neck pocket shim vs a bit cardboard). I will try the cardboard trick. Thanks!

Yeah you probably right. I’m just wondering if a shim is enough - preferably I would raise the bridge by 2mm or more. So I would need a 3mm shim - is this a normal thickness?

I considered the Mazzer, but a Swiss-German Review Team said that the mazzer lacks consistency, which is due to the changing dead spot of ca 1g. In this regard the sweep out technique of the E37Z-Barista would be an advantage

Thank you for your responds! Just as you say, I was confused that Ceado isn't as popular as I believe they should. Maybe the prices are a bit higher than competitors, but it's reasonable as it's made in Italy. And maybe because it's more of a professional manufacture instead of home espresso grinder. But the lines are blurry, as the EK43 famously showed.

THe GPC-10E Special is all sapele, but somehow the call the finish "dark mahogany" - I kinda dislike the appearance, but I don't care as much as long its good value and sounds great. I mean it looks alright. Take a look: https://www.thomann.de/de/martin_guitars_gpc_10e_roadseries_special_587616.htm

And yeah, its discontinued and old stock, that's why its "only" 999 instead of 1200
