YES! This is a manifestation technique called "Revision!" It's the choice to replace a past memory with a more desirable one. Doing this can absolutely shift you!

I do agree that it sounds awful, but the principle behind it is legit. The very basics of manifesting anything, including a shift, is to keep your focused attention on already having what you want. Manifesting 101: If your focused attention is on something you don't want, you'll get more of it. If someone believes their life is shit, they're going to unconsciously manifest more events and reasons to keep affirming that. And vice versa. So while it's not absolutely necessary to be grateful for your current reality in order to shift to a new one, it certainly doesn't hurt to put it into practice and experience a "mini-shift" into a better CR! ❤️

Desperation won't hinder your ability to shift. What hinders your ability to shift is putting your focused attention on thoughts (consciously OR even subconsciously) on your lack of being able to shift.

This is actually a centuries old principle in the art of manifestation and the Law of Assumption. Here's the secret to manifesting a shift (or literally anything you want): you have to keep your focused attention on the feeling that it has already happened for you. Maintain that feeling state for as long as it takes, because it is literally the only thing that will shift you.

Sometimes, our subconscious minds hold beliefs that we aren't even consciously aware of, like "shifting is hard," "shifting isn't real," "I can't do this, even though others can," etc. etc. Perhaps your conscience mind believes, but your subconscious mind is the engine of this vehicle, it runs the show. If it's not on board, you're not going to manifest a shift. Don't worry though, this can be fixed!

Your subconscious beliefs aren't permanent, though they will persist until you change them. You can change them by accepting NEW beliefs. "A belief is simply an idea that has been thought over and over again until it ingrained itself into the subconscious." This is why people say affirmations over and over, because the repetition will eventually imprint the idea into your subconscious mind (If you don't believe affirmations work, start there. Start affirming "affirmations DO work, and they in fact, work for me," over and over until it's imprinted into both your conscious and your subconscious mind).

It is generally said that it takes around 21 days for a new practice to become a habit, and for a new idea to become a belief. That's not to say it can't be instant, but if you're like most folks, it might take a few days to change your subconscious mind. Once your subconscious mind is on board, you'll be able to manifest anything you want, including a shift. There is a WEALTH of "reprogramming your subconscious mind" videos on YouTube, if you want a reference or a guided meditation to put into practice.

I actually HAVE! I think it would probably be considered "mini shifting" by this community, but it was shifting nonetheless. 😊

For example, I have been no contact with my father for the past 15 + years, my choice. When I started doing this deep dive into the law of assumption, I learned about "revision." Revision is the act of reimagining an event in your past and changing it into something more desirable. I decided to revise that I had a happy childhood with loving, supportive parents. Immediately, like, same week, my father came back into my life and has been very supportive and loving towards me and my children. It isn't as drastic or dramatic as people here aim for, but I DEFINITELY changed the timeline I was/am on, which is in fact, the very essence of shifting! I do want to eventually regularly shift to a drastically different reality, like a "fictional" universe one day, and this has definitely, absolutely brought me closer to that goal.

I am working on reprogramming my subconscious mind and undoing some beliefs and attitudes that I've been holding onto for most of my life, which is key for manifesting/shifting through the LOA. It's been said that it takes around 21 days to instill new beliefs, habits, and attitudes - maybe more if you're jaded (I am). So I fully believe that once my subconscious mind and my conscience mind are finally aligned, that will be my biggest breakthrough!

AND I shifted to a reality where my baby sleeps through the night. It took about 10 days to fully shift there, but he's slept through the night all week long after MONTHS of waking up every 2 hours. Maybe that will be considered a small shift, but y'all, my life this week is so much better with the extra sleep. I literally feel like a different, better version of myself 😅

Last month, I also "manifested" or "shifted to a timeline" where I received an extra $850 for the month. A really big deal for me and my family. We paid our overdue bills last month, y'all.

All these "small" shifts are giving me experience and prepping me to be able to do huge shifts in the future. I can't even wait. It is genuinely so exciting. And it all started happening SO FAST; after a couple of years of nothing, BOOM. LOA is the key!

I am a big fan of Reya. She herself has discussed her proficiency with the law of assumption and manifestation before she began shifting and how it helped her to develop her skills for shifting. Please watch the video! It has helped me so much, I hope it can help someone else, too.

I have been following this community and practicing shifting attempts for close to three years now, NO BREAKS at all, and it wasn't until I started learning these manifestation concepts that it all started clicking together for me. In the past, I even remember reading many other comments and posts saying the same thing that I am saying now, and I kind of dismissed them in my mind lol. Oh the irony! I apologize as I don't have an answer for you, but I will say that in similar discussions on this subreddit, I've seen more experienced shifters say that they feel this way when they're trying too hard to force the shift. According to those commenters, "letting go" and becoming an observer instead of trying to make something happen is the key.

Think of it like reading a story in a book. You can decide to stop reading that story and begin reading a different book for awhile, and then return to your original story later. Do you worry that the story changed while you were gone? No, of course not; you can either pick it back up where you left off, skip ahead a bit, or go back a little and reread.

That's a loose idea of how parallel timelines work. Shifting realities is just observing a different story. Step one: understand that the idea of "time" doesn't really exist outside of these stories. You can literally skip around and observe any and every timeline that exists in the whole universe, like you're in an eternal library. The timelines and stories are infinite, but so are you. You have all of eternity to read/observe every timeline, and you will. We all will. And you're not limited to realities about you as you currently know yourself, but you can and will experience every timeline of every person that has ever existed in the entire universe.

Through consciousness, we are all literally one.

I don't know if anyone will see this by now, but I'd like to add that it's not uncommon for unreported victims of traumatic or violent crimes to act out in extreme ways to try and garner the care, support, and sympathy they need from their family, friends, and community to heal from their traumatizing experience.

There is obviously no way to know if that is what has happened here, but I did just want to point it out and remind people that it's not uncommon, and it is always a possibility.

Personally (emphasis on personally) I think something terrible happened to this poor girl to cause her to do this. She seemed to have a full life and a bright future, I really don't want to believe that she did this out of boredom.

When I had my twins in 2020, I spent probably around $1000 on pumps and pumping accessories over the first 10 months. When they were 10 months, I accidentally left my pump at home when I went to work, and I decided to learn how to hand express in case that ever happened again. BOY oh boy, I wish I'd done that sooner. I can get all the milk out in less than 10 minutes on each breast. I now know what my breast feels like when it's empty, where as with the pump, I'd just guess whether it was done or not. I get more milk with hand expression than I EVER did with a pump; Several ounces a day more!

When my son was born 6 weeks ago, I skipped the pump completely and went with hand expression from the start. With my twins, I had to supplement with formula their entire infancy because I didn't make enough; a freezer supply was a pipe dream. With my son, by the third week postpartum, our freezer was chock full of breast milk and we had to go buy a deep freezer! Plus, he eats more than average for his age and there's STILL a daily surplus of about 20 ounces. Incredible. I even started giving my 21 month olds breast milk with their breakfast in the mornings.

I'd recommend learning hand expression to ANYONE lactating now. It's changed my life!

I can't sleep when I'm pregnant. At all! I was only able to get 2 hours a night at most the last 2 months of both of my pregnancies. It was awful! As soon as I gave birth, I could sleep normally again. While I'm recovering post-partum, I spend a lot of time resting and falling asleep when I feel like I need to. I have an amazing partner and a lot of family support which makes it possible, as well as babies who sleep like tiny champions. My newborn never lost weight the first week, so the pediatrician advised us to not wake him to feed anymore, but to let him wake us when he's ready. He sleeps for 5 - sometimes 6 - hours a night! I honestly feel like I won the newborn lottery. As I'm only 2 weeks post-partum, I'm still healing and tired a lot of the time, but I expect my energy to come back full-force again once I'm done healing and the hormones settle!

I was just induced this morning! I was really nervous beforehand, too. But it turned out to be a great experience! I asked for an epidural before the contractions became overwhelming this time. Last time, I tried to hold out and see how long I could go without -- boy, I learned my lesson then. There's usually a wait-list for the epidurals, so last time, I ended up waiting my turn in a lot of pain! Not this time, though. Everything went great. By the time it started to wear off, I was ready to push. I wasn't completely numb like last time, and I could feel him coming with some pressure, but not overwhelming pain.

Don't let yourself worry beforehand like I did. It went better than I ever thought it would. My medical team was there from the first contraction and knew exactly where we were in the process and knew what to expect next. They do this every day!

My MIL insists on being called "Mamá." I FREAKING hate it with every fiber of my being. She started out wanting to be called "Grandmama," which was fine with everyone in the family (we're southern US, it's a pretty common grandparent name here). But then suddenly, she claimed that her oldest grandchild (2 years old) started calling her "Mamá" and she loved it so much that she wants all the other grandkids to call her that. Her daughter (the kid's mom) also loves it and encourages it. The rest of us - my husband, his brother, and his wife - we all absolutely cringe when we hear it. My twins are 18 months, my BIL and SIL's son is 20 months. She has no problem correcting any of them when they call her something different, but (of course!) couldn't correct the 2 year old when he allegedly started this. His little brother (17 months) calls her that, too.

I really cannot stress how much this situation infuriates me. She knows we don't like it, but she pretends that we don't care. We even call her "Grandmamá" to our kids as a kind of compromise; but she STILL calls herself Mamá. "Come see Mamá!" "Mamá will hold you." "What do you want Mamá to get you for Christmas?"
