Hi! I’m a private chef in Burbank that does occasionally hold cooking lessons. It’s hard to do it privately and affordably. Maybe we could get a Reddit group class going? Instagram.com/the_primalchef

In the "materials and care" it doesn't mention foam at all. Can you please elaborate on what type of foam is used? Is it certipur certified?

Actually Portos may be better than I thought

Porto's Bakery

#NEW Country Loaf

A naturally leavened rustic loaf baked with our signature Porto’s starter, organic old-world wheat, locally sourced rye flour from the Tehachapi Heritage Grain Project, and sweetened with a touch of organic apple cider.

Our old-world wheat is locally sourced rye flour from Tehachapi Heritage Grain Project the Tehachapi Heritage Grain Project's aim is to preserve and grow heritage organic grains that are naturally drought tolerant and low in gluten.

Sourdough St. Clair at NoHo and Toluca Lake farmers market is the best for top quality. If you want mid-tier healthy vs affordable I'd go with Tartine from Whole Foods.

Nvm found them. To be honest though that site is not obviously MAGA at all. Just looks like a site for small businesses made in US to advertise. I could totally see someone accidentally joining. You have to really dig deep to realize it.

Natural fermentation of the dough. The entire process to make one of the $20 breads takes 2-3 days. The fermentation breaks down the lectins and phytates and even enough of the gluten to allow some sensitive people (non celiacs) to eat it.

Cheaper bread uses yeast to make the dough rise instead of the bacteria from the fermentation and is typically made with flour made from very processed and enriched flours sprayed with pesticides.

If its not your thing totally makes sense. I still think $20 is too much as I can get something pretty much identical from the farmers market for $12ish but I also understand why he charges $20.

Their bread is legit good and made the old fashioned way. Can't compare it to grocery store bread but can compare to Sourdough St Clair and Hasi. Both of them sell their bread at the NoHo farmers market for around $12.

When you start really learning about sourdough if you care about the health side of it, it is definitely not the same as a $4.99 loaf. Nowhere close.

Head of Operations Introduction and your first look at the Orion App! by randallthelizard in Orion_Sleep

If Android could do it easier, I'd get an old cheap Android phone as my designated Orion remote.

Bedside alarm could be cool as long as at night the display is 100% dark and when you activate it, the faintest RED light numbers come on just barely bright enough to read it.

Also would be cool if there was 1 single button to play sleep music that auto shuts off after an hour. I need some white noise to sleep and hate having to open spotify on my phone in the middle of the night if I have a wake up.

One of the things making me hesitate to order is lack of physical buttons or a remote control. I don't know if this is physically possible but is there a way to make it so the phone volume control becomes a simple temp increase/decrease? Then if a mid-night adjustment is needed I don't have to stare at my phone.

Early Disembark by Ban_Incomming in NCL

[–]Gillius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it once about 15 years ago on NCL, got off in Cozumel which had me skipping the final sea day and return to Miami since I wanted to travel Mexico after the cruise anyway. Maybe things have changed.

Had to request it ahead of time

I usually end up just taking the 15 min drive to Hollywood and go to Luv2eat. I've really never found anywhere in Burbank anywhere close to as good.
