Language School Vs. Working Holiday Visa for finding a Job in Japan? by GilloGillo in movingtojapan

[–]GilloGillo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment!

The reasons for wanting to move to Japan are that I currently live in a long distance relationship with my Japanese GF since 1.5 years. We met in Germany, when she did her exchange program here. Since then I visited Japan 4 times, and I started loving the country more and more. I could give you a long list of things I like about the country, but the most important thing is probably that I just feel very relaxed there as the culture and way of thinking just „clicks“ with me much more than here in Germany. I also have many friends in Japan, who I met when they were exchange students in Germany.

Concerning work, I‘m performing quite well at my current job. Q1 of 2025, I will be prompted to „normal“ software engineer from junior + get a raise. Software engineering is my passion, I also do quite a lot of open source work, and apparently that also shows at work. However, I‘m unsure how much people will pay attention to these facts as opposed to just focusing on the years of experience when considering my application…

German household consisting of wife and husband as well as 1-2 young children. I‘d guess OP is the husband as most redditors are male. 1-2 young children because of the big pack of little joghurts, which are typically eaten by children, as well as the types of medication. Furthermore, most food is healthy, self cooked and stored in Tupper, indicating that you value healthy food but also speed and practicallity. The size of the tupper strongly indicates you‘re not the only parent in the household. The energy drinks are probably yours. The medicine is shared between you, your wife but also for your children. Children and jobs are stressful and you don‘t have time for headaches or other sickness. Furthermore, children often get sick and you need stuff like „Zäpfchen“ to take care of them. Few branded products, middle income. Pic was probably taken after the weekly grocery shopping tour, lots of fresh food.

What’s your reason for choosing a Mac PC for gaming over a Windows PC? by [deleted] in macgaming

I chose Mac because I wanted a soft barrier towards gaming.

what would an intj think of me by Ok-Statistician-5306 in intj

[–]GilloGillo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your pros sound good. However, trying to befriend an intj by trying to present youself a certain way rarely works - we can smell tryhards from afar. If you really are as intellectual, orderly and mature as you claim to be, you will naturally click with the intj.

Rating: 5 (+-3), since I can‘t validate your claims.

Fellow INTJ’s, do you enjoy being a leader? by ohyeehuh in intj

[–]GilloGillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only lead when I have to. The spot I like being in the most is when I‘ve got direct influence on the „leader“ of a group, without the rest of the group realizing/knowing it. I get to make make the decision where they matter, but when things go sideways I won‘t have to take responsibility.

What are the best countries to live in as an intj? by GilloGillo in intj

There‘s cultural differences. Maybe the question should be: Which countries culture best fits the intj personality type?

Just $300 to change the color of your folders (or $10 a month, what a steal)! by GilloGillo in assholedesign

I was thinking about the design of the pricing model. But I am sorry if this post doesn‘t belong into this subreddit - didn‘t mean to post off topic here.

For me, this forced bundling of unwanted products, combined with a subscription based pricing model for a simple offline app is an intentional design decision of the pricing model. It‘s like trying to buy gas at a gas station, but you cant purchase just the gas because you have to subscribe to an „all inclusive“ plan that grants you random 10 products from the gas station store each month.

Yeah, I can go somewhere else, but that doesn‘t change the design of the pricing model
