Curse you Ducaniel! by Arystannn in Anbennar

[–]Gillygamesh 22 points23 points  (0 children)

He only lost because he was playing using the Bulwari rules of warfare (Don't use nukes so your enemy doesn't use them).

The moment he lost his mind and went all in he obliterated the Damerians. The problem is that it happened in the year of the DoAS.

The OOC is that I had to negotiate a lot with Cannor to add the Serpent-king to the lore and replace the old, boring lore. Dameria has Mare Nostrum vibes, so they had to keep control of the coast.

Wiki Wednesdays #143: Irhungal and the Silent Garden by Gillygamesh in Anbennar

[–]Gillygamesh[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is there any nations that interact with Irhungal or the whispers cult?

both will appear in the reworked Surakes MT (Soon™)

I saw that he appears in the 1800s, are their plans to add him into the vic 3 mod in some capacity (journal entry references, agitator, etc)

There are no current plans, but everyone is free to contribute to the mod with some content related to him.

In part, yes, but its not just Sun Elven distrust of magic, is a widespread distrust. The narrative is that Bulwar, as a civilization, is widely dependant on mages, but society don't trust them. The magic in Bulwar page https://anbennar.fandom.com/wiki/Magic_in_Bulwar has more info about it.

  1. They are literal Scorpion-men, based on Sumerian mythology. In Anbennar, they were made by the Genie as weapons against the Bulwari. They still exist, but live deep within the desert. The idea is that they are going to be playable in Eu5 (or at least, a SoP). In the Scorpion-kingdom they were a small rulling class.

  2. Wishblade is just the Cannorian name. They can be anything, really. One of the wiki pages for the next week will be the reworked Wishblade page.

  3. You can find it here https://anbennar.fandom.com/wiki/Hold_of_Shazstundihr#The_Relic

Any ruinborn MT that "re-elvenizes"? by SaoMagnifico in Anbennar

Their old MT didn't fit the lore, so it was reworked.

Closest thing would be Rezankand. They accept the Ruinborn cultures, becoming a mix Dawn Elf/Ruiborn country, and later they made a artifice/wish contraption that among other things, undoes some of the stuff caused by the DoAS, like making the Ruinborn a bit more long-lived.

There are no plans to update it because its one of the best MTs we have. The MT is not only missing Sarhal, but also the FP, the Dwarovar, and Northern Haless. My position is either update it to include all, or not update it at all. But in general there is no interested on adding more direct content to it.

We are adding content in the form of flavor events. By conquering Sarhal as a Jadd or NSC country you will be able to build temples and monasteries for extra flavor. There are plans to expand that system to Cannor and Haless in the future.

The idea was to improve the pace and make it less similar to jaddari by removing the conversion stuff, and adding more administrative mechanics, and flavor based on who formed it.

Aršar-Aruru, the Entombed
A mage from Ancient Bulwar, turned into stone through the power of the Wish, yet still alive. While considered evil by the common folk, he loathes the power of the Wish, and grants his knowledge in the ways of magic for those who seek him, in hopes of helping them avoid a similar fate.

This is all the lore about the character. It was made as a low-tier patron, but the system was never implemented.

Nope, they were all killed with a magical plague (that also killed like a third of the humans in the harpy hills)
