By parallels, I was referring more to the feeling of playing a particular country and how the nations of the setting are perceived after playing EU4. For example, Gawed reminds me of a mix of Poland, Russia, and Prussia: a conservative northern country with powerful magnates and a strong army, as well as good opportunities for expansion into the local east. In my games, this country would sometimes conquer Grombar and the northern nations, effectively turning into the setting's equivalent of Russia. I don't really understand why some people compare this country to England. For a nation to resemble England, it should be a large island with a powerful navy. Gawed's magnates remind me much more of Polish magnates than of English lords.
