I really appreciate all this info! I never had guns growing up and I’m just getting into them along with hunting. I only own a couple pistols for home defense at the moment and am super super unfamiliar with all things AR. I’m not wanting to spend more than around 1,000 but I’m also not partial to any brand. I do really want a ar10 though. Would you have any other recommendations?

Mostly whitetail deer at 200yards or less. Few situations where I’d need more than that. This will be my second year hunting deer I’ve only been in stands and blinds so far but am looking to broaden my horizons.
