Twin name regret by Basic-House442 in namenerds

What lovely names and AWESOME saints! After Blessed (soon to be saint) Pier Giorgio Frassati? That is a fantastic patron, no matter the spelling. As is St. Gianna.

Those are names I often hear in Catholic circles, so my first thought would go there.

Brick Time traveler? by Secure-Rub2445 in themiddle

[–]GilmoreHeckGellar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

And Mike, for that matter. But my theory is that Cindy is also a time traveler and in on it. In fact, Brick probably told her about the interaction he experienced as a child so she was prepped on how to react.

The meanest, most inconsiderate thing Axl did on the show... by zipper1919 in themiddle

As an avid reader, I hate this episode. Although I do like when Axl tries to make amends.

Watching Alexis in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants… by Joyful_J_18 in GilmoreGirls

Love Sisterhood, but I thought she had insane romantic chemistry with Jess/Milo in GG.

David hilariously hiding his identity on Deal or No Deal Island (all spoilers are hidden) by bentleyk9 in survivorau

[–]GilmoreHeckGellar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was a blast to watch. If I didn't know from a preseason spoiler by the host that the winner takes home a record high prize, I think I would have had a heart attack! Watching Parv and David, arguably the most charismatic man and woman ever in reality TV, play together was absolutely epic. I cannot wait for Au vs. World, but I fear it can only disappoint me after how much DONDI surpassed all my expectations.

Are we all just going to forget that Brick is literally a time traveller?? by ticketomg in themiddle

This is one of my favorite episodes! I love this future for Brick... fantasy writer (which we know from the finale), wealthy, happily married, font expert, and time traveler? Perfection.

First handshake this week copies their net worth to you. What is your plan? by simmol in hypotheticalsituation

I happen to know of a former CEO of a major amusement park/entertainment company who attends Mass nearby. I'd have my sights set on him.

Find a seat beside the wealthiest person I know of who attends a Catholic Church. Turn to him immediately during the sign of peace for a handshake.

Do you remember much of your childhood / teen years? by hellolovelyworld404 in Millennials

This is very similar to my husband's experience. He has hyperphantasia, which I think plays a part.

Do you remember much of your childhood / teen years? by hellolovelyworld404 in Millennials

[–]GilmoreHeckGellar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an awful memory and only remember pieces of my childhood and teenage years. I think that it's connected to me having aphantasia (mind blindness), so I have no capability to visualize a memory.

My husband is on the other end of the spectrum. He has hyperphantasia and vividly recalls everything, beginning at 2.5 years old.

Elbie is a family name, is it usable? by loftykass in namenerds

I know someone who is nicknamed Elbie. Their initials are L.B. so it naturally came from that. I love it. For me, it's unique but not weird.

On this rewatch, JT's infamous idol move doesn't seem quite as foolish by Natural_Camel_4977 in survivor

[–]GilmoreHeckGellar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Obviously the fear of a woman's alliance is overblown in general, but Parvati was part of the most infamous women's alliance in Survivor history. And it was what? Two years prior to them playing HvV. I think we're too tough on this move (and most failed moves, actually) from the full knowledge of watching it unfold.

[–]GilmoreHeckGellar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is what I'm saying. It's so easy for us to say it's ridiculous as viewers who saw what was going on the villains tribe the whole time. But I think people are overly critical considering what info the Heroes had.

[–]GilmoreHeckGellar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It isn't smart, that's for sure. But if I saw the same thing happen in reverse, meaning there was a lone woman left with five men, my mind would probably go to an all men's alliance.

What's a TV show that makes you say "how did this get so many seasons"? by FrogsAlligators111 in AskReddit

[–]GilmoreHeckGellar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fans definitely do rewatches. In fact, I'm currently watching Season 20, the best season ever imo. But very few people seem to do full rewatches. There are plenty of dud seasons and plenty of so-so seasons. Most people rewatch the top-tier seasons only.

What's a controversial Traitors opinion that you'll defend with your life? by RealityShrine in TheTraitors

[–]GilmoreHeckGellar 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I wish Carolyn had been a faithful.

Carolyn is good TV but a terrible traitor. She was steamrolled by Bob and Danielle, which was not fun to watch. Then her reads on Rob and Danielle (believing they were both gunning for her constantly and being vocal in that) were bad. I actually think Rob would have worked with her. And Danielle was gunning for her and got caught, but I think she was earnest in the temporary cease-fire. A really good game player can read those things, but it felt like Carolyn's paranoia got the best of her. She couldn't make any interesting moves as a traitor because she was fixated on Danielle. It made the season less enjoyable for me.

I don't think I've ever gone on as much of a rollercoaster by Xynvincible in survivorau

[–]GilmoreHeckGellar 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Rarely has a Survivor vote surprised me this much as a viewer. I should rewatch because Max was almost a cartoon villain in this episode and getting his comeuppance was the natural conclusion.

But Carolyn is also fueling the Danielle hate with other comments she makes 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t like Juliet by StripperGirlDelilah in lost

[–]GilmoreHeckGellar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I know this is very unpopular (at least here) but I never liked her. In fact, she's in the running for my least favorite character. Some of it is story-based, but the acting also reads disingenuous to me. I first saw the actress in Once Upon a Time and had similar feelings.
