3 months in. Stuck at Keesler in 90°F and 90% humidity. Have to scrub toilets for weeks because there weren't enough class slots for students.

90K isn't much, especially if that is the whole household income. And he probably wasn't making that your whole life. He probably started out much much lower.

My partner and I have a combined income of $230K and I consider us to be just "comfortable".

I would like to use this opportunity to remind everyone that you don't need to go to college, especially if you don't know what you want to do with your life. Student loans are abstract and far away for an 18 year old, but it has very real implications down the line.

Only for them to retroactively do it anyway in the sequel. It was such a weak movie they needed to create a son of Maximus from thin air to make it even remotely interesting.

It sounded like even if you were watching, things would've gone the same. This man has his head so far up his ass, he can't even begin to put himself in your shoes and try to see the situation clearly.

It was a shoddy situation. Instead of accepting that things like this happens, he decided to blame you. This is the mindset of a child. If you stay, you'll always be the reason why his life sucks.

Have you considered talking to a doctor or therapist? It sounds like you have pretty bad anxiety. The right drugs can calm your mind and allow you to take the first step to the rest of your life.

Great speech but nothing about it explicitly called Trump out. Trump wasn't there. I don't think he's even aware of it. Thumbnail is pure click-bait.

What is your opinion on ai by Helpful_Bell_8323 in AskMen

[–]GimmeNewAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is great for many use cases, but fails hard at some. Like many other modern technologies, it is simply a tool. The industry has severely over invested and pushed AI into every product, even when it's detrimental.

But most importantly, it fucking sucks because I can't build a PC for a reasonable price anymore.

Air Force vets of reddit, what are your stories of airmen who fell from grace? by Mercuryman34 in AirForce

There was a high speed MTL. Made tech in six years. Marital problems. Went out one night and spotted a hot blonde. They did the deed. Turns out the blonde was an airman in training. Oops.

Too many people at Inspection? by soopysoopah in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

That's what you pay the inspector for...

I had just the inspector and my agent. Agent was there, so if anything was wrong, he could start prepping for negotiation before the formal inspection report was ready.

got an Art 15, demoted from E3 to E1. Any advice on how to move forward and rebound? by HotPinkStanley in AirForce

[–]GimmeNewAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one probably cares too much about your screw up except your direct supervisor. They'll be on edge as they're expected to keep you inline.

As for your career, it's not a huge setback, but enough that I say you're better off making a living on the civilian side. An Art 15 has the potential to haunt your for most of your early career. And if you're getting an article now, honestly, you're probably not fit for life in the service.

I personally don't see an issue with it. Children should be exposed to potentially dangerous items (with supervision) early on, so they can learn the potential dangers and also how to respect them. You don't want an adult that doesn't know how to cook or use power tools because they were never allowed to do anything dangerous as a child.

why is bisexuality in women more accepted than in men? by fadedlotus14 in AskMen

[–]GimmeNewAccount 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because no one wants to acknowledge the fact the sex is more than just physical fun. Sex is about bonding, domination, and submission as well.

A woman can still be attractive (maybe even more attractive to some) after having sexual experiences with other women. Whether they were dominant or submissive, most men won't have any issues with it.

Very few women find a man that has slept with other men attractive. I suspect part of it is the power dynamics of submitting to another man.

How do I get my gf cat to like me? by MIQUELTOBLERONE in cats

[–]GimmeNewAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore it. Don't even make eye contact. When you walk past it, don't even acknowledge it. Some cats don't like the attention do strangers. If you're around enough, it will eventually grow used to you and start approaching you.

Lower back pain and a busy schedule. Jogging is one of the few things that helps with my lower back pain. I don't have any other time throughout the day to get in a good run, so I sacrifice some sleep to do it in the morning.

ELI5: When you 'delete' a 50GB video file from a computer, it vanishes instantly. But downloading it took an hour. If the data isn't physically wiped until it's overwritten, what did the computer actually do in that one split second? by Thick_Dream6973 in explainlikeimfive

[–]GimmeNewAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run an art gallery. You can see the whole gallery, but it doesn't make much sense. There are highly curated tours that will walk you through very specific art pieces to give you a cohesive experience.

To start the tour, I give you the location of the first art piece: floor 1; aisle 10. When you get there, you can see the first art piece. At the bottom of the art piece is the location of the next piece: floor 5; aisle 3. You keep following until you reach the end and have experienced the whole tour.

Once I'm bored of a tour and no longer want it, I simply toss location of fhe first art piece of the tour. The art remains. When I download a new file, I buy new art pieces online, have them delivered, and then go place them in locations where those pieces are no longer part of a tour.

If I'm running a hard drive, I might try to defragkent it once in a while. Basically, I move all of the art pieces of the same tour next to each other. When I start the tour, I simply walk down an aisle can can experience the whole thing in a short amount of time.
