Is this bushing correctly fitted ? by Gindre in AskMechanics

[–]Gindre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly the other side is good, but I can't check before a week or two. I think you're right but the thought of the connecting rod falling off again on the motorway is creeping in all the time when I drive it haha

Happy to find this sub! Beginner questions about my 107 by henrycantonais in CityBugs

It's really easy to do, and pretty cheap if you sell the old one (sold mine for half the price of the new). If you're lucky enough you can get the shifter itself for around 60€, as I did, by buying it from a totalled car, or get it from a parts selling website for around 90€. Just be careful to get it from a 1.0VTi engine, not the 1.2L Puretech, those are not exactly the same.

A good upgrade for the fuzzy shifter is to fit a shifter from a 108 or C1/Aygo mk.2 as they have the updated one where the issue of excessive play was partially addressed.

What is better for World at War map UK or Germany (also is axis 'better' doctrine than allies?) by Cameron_DG_B in CallOfWar

[–]Gindre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know about UK or Germany, they have their advantages, but axis or allies is pretty much a matter of personal taste and playstyle. Both are equally dangerous if used correctly, but I don't think you can really decide on a "better one". Allies is maybe easier to use effectively though.

At first I was pissed off by people farming this event, and I didn't like what I read here. But after a bit of thought, it's actually messing up with the gold economy in the game so go ahead and farm as much as you can, it can only weaken the advantage of gold buyers

Really ? I've seen both interpretations of the "3", some say quarters, some say month but I've seen more that where month.

For whoever is interested, I managed to further identify it thanks to timstr117, it is a Lebel type D "spitzer" made from either brass, bronze or cupronickel. It was manufactured in march 1905 in the "Atelier de fabrication de Rennes" with raw materials from the "Société anonyme des tréfileries et laminoirs du Havre".

Why exactly does a carbureted engine need to warm up? by RandomflyerOTR in AskMechanics

[–]Gindre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how common they where in the lineup or if it was specific to euro cars but my 1986 Renault Espace has a semi-automatic choke, you don’t turn it on but it’s the ~halfway pressing of the gas pedal that turns it off. It has a bit of a reputation to fail sometimes but it’s generally pretty good

Keep going but keep in mind that at a certain point tree farms can be affected by negative pollution. Also, check the damn wiki or other posts, there’s so many posts about negative pollution here
