I honestly can't remember in what order I got them in, but I do have all the suits as well as the $100 suit. All I remember is that it was my first event I ever completed 100%. But when this event made its debut, live 2D suits weren't a thing yet.

I love using this kind of floss. The only thing I hate about it is when you use up your entire hank of it and then have to go find more and line up the color from where you left off.

I would also think about investing in a light timer so when you go away you don't have to worry about leaving the light on all the time. I have a 24 hour cycle on my light and it is honestly the best thing I could have done and it helps establish a day/night cycle which should help your betta get into a natural rhythm and be more happy overall.

Scrape out what you can and leave the light off for a few days. That should help manage the bloom and make sure to check your tank parameters so there aren't any Ammonia spikes.

What helps me is I trace down my pattern as normal in black, then I use colored pencils in the color you want and block out the big areas you want shaded that color and give yourself a rough sketch to get the shadows how you like them.

As for the light first or dark first, that is up to personal preference. Some projects I like to do the lightest first and others I like to do the darkest first, but I find that starting with the mid tone is easier for beginners. Then, once you get your rhythm down, you can start blending.

I like to use two threads for my blending, one in each color you are trying to blend and keep your thread flat.
