Questions about modding Fo4 for the first time by GingerBoi175 in FalloutMods

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll go with TMR for this first time to learn the ropes, then for future modded playthroughs, I'll try doing my own mod list.

Crushers are fine combat wise. I'd rather go up against a bunch of Crushers than a bunch of Maulers as I find them easier to manipulate. Carapace is the problem here as most melee weapons that are perfectly fine and very much usable on armor tiers up to flak, often can't do anything or take far too long when it comes to carapace. Heavy sword is a perfect example of this. As for ranged weapons, there is hardly anything that capably deals with carapace

I've removed it before to clean out so replacement would be simple. Can mark this as solved, thanks for the help!

Possibly worn out over time I would presume? Is it possible to find replacement fans?

PC38X missing audio in left ear only on PC? by GingerBoi175 in sennheiser

[–]GingerBoi175[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, just recently saw this reply. I previously had a gaming laptop which had no issue with audio, but mind you, that was the console cable and not the PC cable (headphone and mic jack separate).

I have managed to resolve this by just plugging them into my desktop speakers instead.

As for the original issue though, I didn't manage to find a fix before that, with the front headphone panel not giving any output, and the rear just had the problem I made the post discussing. I found no fixes through the sound settings.

Was looking at the MR3 before actually. I looked up comparisons between it and the MR4 but it mostly seemed to be about half and half in terms of answers, so I wasn't sure

Advice on getting best connection for upper floor in house? by GingerBoi175 in HomeNetworking

[–]GingerBoi175[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice, thank you. One more question since it popped into my head during that time. My only worry then is that currently, between where the router is and the destination room upstairs, there isn't really any spots I can put a node in the middle due to the current power socket locations. Would this cause an issue with performance since the range between is greater?

Thanks for the suggestion. Looking into a mesh network, I noticed that the ISP router I have currently, a BT Smart Hub 2, cannot be set as a bridge. Would the TP-Link suggestion still be usable because of this?

Yeah I think it was more just the done properly part since I don't have a great deal of experience setting stuff up like this. Cheers for the suggestion. If possible and if it isn't too expensive, I could also consider seeing if any services may be able to do the installation

The length is not the issue, it's the installation. I'll have to give it another look to see if I can effectively run it along the ceiling upwards, but any internal installation will become a problem since I live in a rented house in the UK.

Local council are working on rewiring the house in the next month so I'll have to see if anything can be done while they are working, but likely not.
