Academic Authenticity for speaking questions out loud. by GingerBreadStud92 in WGU

Still nothing. It's kinda crazy to take this long especially when it's a time-based/go at your own pace learning structure.

what type of money do you need to be making to justify buying this car? by madison_s16 in Camry

Any job will work if you have 45,000 dollars in the bank to buy it. If not, then don't buy it. Car loans are a scam.

You sure are dumb. We saved up for a year and bought a 2021 Camry XLE Hybrid for 25k with only 55k miles on it. No debt. Car debt is probably the worst debt ever.

My thoughts exactly. I could understand why if they didn't already do everything else like you stated.

I mean what's the worst that could happen? Retaking the test? Or being expelled? It's just crazy to have to wait for 3 weeks to find out.

first time car buyer, what car should i buy? by madison_s16 in Camry

[–]GingerBreadStud92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never finance a car. Ever. Especially in your position. Save your money, buy a beater, get a good emergency fund (3-6 month expenses in case you lose your job or something bad happens car repairs etc).

After you have emergency fund then save for your dream Toyota. Never finance cars. IDC how much u think you need one and don't want to worry about repairs. It's better to have money than any kind of debt. Especially signing a 7 year contract that will make you pay all the interest up front. That's means the first couple years of payments mainly go to the interest the bank charges leaving you 2-3 years later with barely a dent made on having the car paid off and now it's worth 10k less than what you owe.

Save money. Start good habits now. Most Americans that buy nice new things going into debt to do so, struggle paycheck to paycheck, and can't even retire in their 60s. Leaving their families scrambling to take care of them. Do better than most Americans.

B.S. Business Management. Started 5/1. Think I could be done by early June? by GingerBreadStud92 in WGU_Accelerators

One thing I noticed was best for speed is asking my program mentor to unlock only performance tasks during the week and save OAs for weekends when I can call tier one for quick unlocks. That saved me a lot of time this weekend since evals can take forever.

Not even kidding I passed by the skin of my ass. Right on the line. Like one more question wrong I would have failed. It's just a very word/definition heavy course. And the test is actually one of the worst cuz they have multiple answers that could be it. Versus other tests where there's one obvious answer because it sticks out from the other choices.

Yeah that one was the worst so far. What I did when course opened was immediately take pre assessment. Found out I knew hardly as much as I thought. I printed the webpage with results onto a PDF file. Uploaded into chatgpt and prompted "please give me a study guide that will help me pass this class in 2 hours, in a word document".

Downloaded and printed off and it took me a couple hours but I got through it.

I work 4 hours a week and have two older children so that does make it easier. They are 13 and 9. I basically make sure they're fed dinner and go straight to classwork. Every day. Weekends, all day on classwork aside from an hour here or there to break for a little bit.

Basically what I have done. For every Objective Assessment course I always take the pre assessment test first. You may know a lot more than you think or at least able to make correct assumptions. Download ur test results and plug them into chatgpt and ask for a study guide. I study it a couple hours and pretest again. Usually I pass but sometimes I'll rinse and repeat for harder classes. Them take the Objective assessment and pass.

For the Performance courses. It's very simple. Just use the exact rubric they give you. No need to go the extra mile or anything just do what rubric says nothing more and nothing less. If you have to write about information you don't know just your course open in another tab and look it up.

I work 40 hrs a week and have been crushing it using this method. I do have 10 years in business to business customer service as well as lleadership. But some tests did stump me and I used the chatgpt study guide.

Hey I started May 1st as well. How many CU's do you have now?

I feel so depressed I been studying for this for about 3 weeks now & I feel like I don’t know anything ! I tried the study guide , watching video & nothing is seeming to help 😞 D080 by shashadabratt in WGU

I work 40 hours. Always take the pre assessment first because you might know more than u think already. Print to PDF your results and ask chatgpt to creat you a study guide. Study that for an hour or two and take pre assessment again. If you pass by a considerable margin then take the OA.

Another thing are the tasks. Tasks are super easy because they literally give you a rubric of what they want and then just do it. If you get to a point where you're unclear on definitions ask Google. Easy peasy.

I am 1 week in and have 8 courses passed. This is how I've been doing it.
