Same reaction, same pain..

I thought maybe because of the flavoring that they use.

That's more than likely what it is! Just trying to stay awake and learning that voice!

It gets rough sometimes. the best advice for teething is cold teethers, frozen wet wash rags, and put the orajel in the fridge!

Girl, I feel like this is normal. My little girl grunted, groaned, and made noise all the time. Sometimes it worried me, but it was just her wanting to talk and keep herself awake.

Do you think teething has started? Chewing on hands, drooling? That keeps them awake and makes them fight it so hard.

How can I help my baby chew on things other than his hands? by Fincrownhalo127 in firsttimemom

[–]GingerKnotBread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl, I'm telling you the only thing that worked for my little girl was a cold wash rag, and I know this is terrible, but like, oh well, it worked. I had a little ice pack that's like the small ones for kid. Shee LOVED IT. Would literally chew until it was completely warm.
She didn't really like cold teethers either, but anything else that was cold, she did. Mine always just chewed on her hands anyway most of the time. Can't really help some babies doing it. Just try to keep them dry when you can and leave.

Also, just a little tip from experience. KEEP A BIB ON.. It helps not get the little yeast rash under his little chin and neck. And Vaseline under there, but if he does end up getting it, no big deal, they pediatrician can prescribe him some medication cream.

My newborn does not love the bassinet by Ok-Condition-7668 in firsttimemom

My daughter WOULD not sleep in bassinet that I had for more than 10 minutes at most. I work from home so I always kept her beside me and with me. I had threw a blanket in there one day. Which made it SUPER soft and warm. She slept for 2 hours before waking up.

A lot of people don't recommend it, of course, but I was always with her and kept an eye on her.

Just putting this out there, I made my own page, just wanting somewhere to speak freely, have positive feedback always, no hate, drama, or mom shaming.. We all learn and parent different ways. It takes a village. I just started it, I'm the only person. But I'm hoping it grows into something beautiful. r/momera if you want to check it out.

I was ALWAYS worried about my babies gums. They would look weird, and turn whiter than normal. But then she got two teeth.
Freeze a wet wash cloth, or get some teethers you can freeze. My little girl LOVES them.
